Would like like some tips on how i can get a bit more DPS from my build, currently doing around 8k dps, but would like a bit more, any help/tips/tricks would be appreciated.
Drop the CRF for Scatter Volley. It's not as 'cool' looking, but it does do more damage over time. You could easily support CSV3 and TS3 to max out the potential. Alternately you could also support 2 CSV's with a APO3. In both cases spike damage would go up, pushing you easily over 10K.
I run a similar build with a dual beam up front. It allows a TS3, CSV3 and a BO3 for some interestingly powerful alpha strikes. That build runs 16-18K average.
As for you're captains skills, theres' a lot that could be done there. Your current boff skills are heavily dependant on attack patterns, but you have no points in development. Same goes for energy and weapons specialization.
In general terms 6 ranks is all you need in any skill I won't recommend a specific set of skills - others can get into detail there.
List your space traits as well. They do make a difference.
for starters.... too many attack patterns. drop one of them and pick up another cannon skill.
your tac consoles look good, though might want to drop the shield gen for another +Pla console.
some people run escorts without torps, as you got the KCB to do your kinetic damage, may think about picking up another DHC and dropping the Torp Spread.
as the poster above me said, the skills should only be maxed out to 6 if you want the higher end skills, the ones that boost crit and such, as if you crit more often, those consoles of yours help out more.
OK, Ive changed to have CSV3 instead of AB3, but how can i have TS3 without another commander tactical?
TS3 is a lt. commander ability
also, you forgot Energy weapon and Projectile Specialization.... (tier 5. hence why we said dont maxx out past 6 on any skill. points 7-9 are NOT worth the points, especially at higher level skills) those increase crit hit rate AND severity with those weapons.
Why cant i find TS3 when i go to the skill trainer?
ifd you read here: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Ability:_Torpedo:_Spread TS3 is only trainable by BO's. it lists 2 BOffs known to have it, or else you have to search for Rare or Very rare tac officers and hope to raandomly find one.

I'd look at changing a few skills.
