I'm noticing several missing outlines (preview representations) of items in the map editor. They just appear as gray dots. For example wall door. Anyone else?
After the last Patch, the Foundry dosnt Lag anymore, but i have there a Objectproblem if i build something, i see only the objectpoint.
Its a GraphicOptions problem or has somebody else this problem?

Thank God, I thought I was the only one with this problem. I'm trying to customize a map and cut off certain portions of it using doors but I can't see an outline so I can't tell whether it is facing the right direction or lined up properly without using the position coordinates, which would take a lot of work without a visual frame of reference. Same thing goes for placing consoles.
Noticed this as well, there are no previews for items in the map view.

I don't know if this is any help since this post has already gotten the attention of Cryptic folks, but in the Foundry, I am seeing no outlines of objects. Just the gray dot. This is happening with every object I've selected, not just random ones. Also, in the little preview pane on the bottom center part of the screen when you click an object, it is just a white box - therefore it's not loading any preview of the object/character.
Once I go into the preview map mode and am walking around the map, there is nothing in the areas where there would normally be headshots of my character and the BOffs.
Just trying to provide as much information as possible to the Cryptic people. Thanks.

that last part seems to be an independent glitch. for a while there's been a display glitch in preview mode that overlays the image of the last item you were looking at on your char and boff pictures.
After months out of the foundry, I decided to create a STO spanish tutoreal.
10 minutes later, when tryed to make a wall with windows but I cound not even see where the stuff I put was on the preview map, I decied to quit.
Here's a pic which shows the issue. I errased my map names bc it gives away what I'm up too. I also noticed Starbase 24 has a white square of brightness in one of the rooms with the Fed logo on the floor.

Well, other than Colony Buildings appearing only as doors and furniture, I've been unable to reproduce this. I put the same details that midnighttlc has in his screenshot on a map and they all appeared just fine.

Well, make it so... because, until 9.5 the missing outlines on 2d preview were scarce, and now objects that we used to pose to do custom maps, like the federal ship wall, or the federal ship doors, are fallen into invisibility mode (apart for the grey dot...) please, please do something...

I made the a few tests, but was unable to find a situation where the items DID show up (i.e. where the issue went away.) This means that the reason your not seeing the issue my be something I can't replicate (such as account factors, different testing shard or different build)
Things I tried:
New mission vs. existing mission
KDF vs. Fed
Outdoor vs. Interior
I attempted to test on Red Shirt but the Foundry seems to be locked down there at the moment, as is Tribble.
It seems pretty consistent and consistently the same objects (I had the same results as Midnightmic.) Perhaps you can see if this occurs on your personal account on Holodeck.

RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7
Running graphics settings maxed out as I always do. I will say that I haven't found any authors who haven't been affected by this (though if you're working on a non-Fed map, you're less likely to see it.) I'm not sure the hardware is behind it. Still I'll ask around see if I can't find a case of someone not having this issue. Might stir up some clues.
And now when I go to reproduce things looking right on the QA shard to get a screenshot, the issue is now reproducing on the QA shard just like it is on holodeck. </em Frost beats head against desk>
Indeed, thanks for the fix... Making a map with over 600 pieces in it, while their outlines were invisible was a real test of my patience. Kudos!

But I mean new ones after 9.5. Lots of stuff that I remember seeing before, from bushes to walls. The Fed doors, for example...

OK, this is weird. I can repro this on Holodeck but not on our test shard. Time to raise some alarms. Thanks for the reports.
