Before I start, let me just say I do like how the aquatic looks and am planing on getting one very soon but I have noticed that it is a bit too similar to the JHDC.
Ok so this ship is great but it has an ensign tactical slot. I think that the ship would be better suited if it was a universal ensign or to make it a viable ship for pvp, remove it and make the lt eng a lt commander eng. At current, the reason for me to go from my JHDC with attack ship pets is minimal, the only reason i am concidering it is because it will be slightly better used for pvp. Now lets concider they change it to a lt commander eng, that would allow for more ease for players in both PvE and PvP.
BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT IT BEING TOO OVER POWERED OF A CHANGE!!!!
if you look at it, the JHDC has better hull for a carrier, the monbosh has similar hull and better shields as a faw boat, because of this the ship does not have a clear advantage over the others besides in looks. We already have a tactical carrier but if cryptic was to change the ensin tac to a lt commander eng, i think very few would complain and the PvP Community, THE PEOPLE WHO WILL GIVE THE GAME THE MOST MONEY, will be more likely to buy the ship. The escort is great (well its console is a bit flawed) but this carrier could use some work. Please dont respond with rude comments this just seems like a big thing that could change.

Well lets not forget, these ships are just redesigned Jem Hadar ships, what the escort is better than the JHAS hands down, a shame since i only got mine a few months ago, and the carrier is just a JHDC with an extra sci slot, slightly more survival. Well, we have an eng carrier (obelisk) a sci carrier (recluse) and a tactical (jem hadar), lets get one thats all around, if this had a lt commander eng by its self, that makes it viable for the lt commander uni to be a tac sci or eng making it so 1) anyone can realy use it (more money there cryptic) and 2) its actualy a pvp usable carrier!
Which thread is that talked about in, because I was wondering the same thing regarding the size.
HERE a good point to start with.
My complain about the XDC is
one: it's way too small.
two: it's just too maneuverable. (it's more like a destroyer-carrier than a heavy and big dreanought/carrier)
Altogether, i think if they couldn't make it the right size, they should have made a different ship.
It's nowhere like the ship it is suppsed to be IMO.
Don't missunderstand me, the stats are alright and the ship model is gorgeous, but the Xindi Aquatic Cruiser was a huge Leviatan, not a fast destroyer -like ship.
I think that cryptics devs just wanted to sell something "cool" and they used just "some" ship that was shown on screen. The fact that it is completely wrong, doesn't seem to care them much.
For me, correct made ships are a given and a question of quality, nothing more.
Launchable NX-class frigate pets from the Aquatic carrier.
NX pets would be nice, it would also be nice if the escort didnt have 300 windows for only 50 crew, I just hate it when ships are way too big (even if this is a spec on the screen) for their crew.
I'm calling BS. unless you post up proof that the PVP community is buying more stuff from the C-store you are full of it. I know far too many non-PVPers that have literally bought every single ship out of the C-store. and that's not even touching on costume unlocks keys and the other fluff stuff.
and I'm not a PVPer, but I suspect that the hardcore PVPers look down their noses at a CARRIER in PVP. they want to dogfight not bother with pet spam
oh, and the design is fine the way it is. the game and PWE does not revolve around your wanting to increase power creep and your play style
