Aegis engine trails and Excelsior Refit

When equipping the Aegis engines on the Excelsior with Refit saucer, the engine trails emit from the outer impulse engines - not all four impulse engines like MACO (for example). If you equip Aegis engines on the standard Excelsior saucer, then the trails emit as expected.
I'm presuming this is not a bug, per se, and I'm also not sure of any other ships with similar concerns (especially for Klingon, Romulan, or non-faction ships). I know this existed prior to Season 9.5, but was hoping it would be addressed at Season release.
