Its for Klingons and Romulans with their battlecloaks and multiple damage buffs, Feds arent capable of matching the damage so most people dont put the time/money/effort into it for fed

well thanks. kind of annoying to go into pvp and be destroyed immediately with one hit. very aggravating.

don't recall the ship, but like seeing you using the name "Mumrah". I was always hoping he would wipe Liono and those thundercats out.

seems like I run into various members of the 32nd routinely.

If you want to build a Vaper for PvP, you are almost duty bound to roll a Romulan and fly a T'Varo.

Typically, I am one of those that say fly what you like how you like and make it work, but if you want to Vape, then you really want to specialize and roll a Romulan tac.

The Fleet T'Varo and Romulan boffs make it so much better then the alternatives, that if you are serious about the playstyle I wholly recommend taking the plunge and re-rolling for it. Elsewise you are behind the curve on a playstyle that absolutely requires being on the bleeding edge.

And I'm somebody who tries to set DPS records on ships with 2 tac consoles and either a ens or lt tac boff. If I'm saying you want to specialize, you might want to consider it.
I once again match my character. Behold the power of PINK!

Romulan Tac yes but actually the Fleet Dhelan, Ar'kif, Ha'feh and Mogai all can be viable Vapers.
5-console is good, since its all about stacking. A lot of people use the Dhelan for the console weapon. T'varo is good because it lets you heal your hull while cloaked.
Matt used to do it out of the Galaxy X so really with any cloaker it's possible.
Its not competitive though. The whole idea is to put everything into the alpha strike and then battlecloak away because you got nothing left. A ship without battlecloak has to put something into defense, which limits the amount of damage you are going to do. Or you buy the Rhode Island console and do it that way.

Also you get better damage bonuses from different types of cloak, fed cloak has the lowest bonus IIRC.

Also you wan the other BOFFs to contribute, things like Superior Infiltrator for extended decloak bonus time, Superior Operative for crits, Nausicaans for damage buffs, etc.

Really, pure Fed is the worst choice for it, way less effective than the other factions

Defiant can vape well, but has problems getting out of dodge when its goes wrong. I run mask energy sig on her to use as a pseudo battle cloak and it works well to get out of range and enable the real cloak.

If running a sci ship its easy to spot vapers. My mirror nova runs jem hadar set and can see anything within 5km and with emerg to aux and sensor scan everyone on my team knows they are there too. 1 HY torp on their hull and they go away.
