So how's the current crafting system going to be converted?

So while trying to look for an answer I haven't found one. Basically what I mean is how will the current system be converted for players that have already maxed out the crafting system before the change on Thursday, or will everyone just have to restart from 0 again?

Poorly and full of aggravation. Max Crafters will get a pathetic Title and then we will start at 0 like everyone else.

Instead should be...
A tribble that craps out mats
A toon 't-shirt' that reads "I maxed crafting and all I got was this stupid T-shirt."

Get a couple of titles, Dabbler and Genius and get a free Duty Officer that allows you to craft the Aegis set. The Aegis Duty Officer will obviously be available through other methods. There is no conversion from the old system to the new system. So we all start at 0, but Max Crafters might have more crafting resources at the start.

Admittedly, they may have closed the 9001 other threads that have asked the same thing...and thus that may have created an issue in finding the answer (and also created the issue of there being 9001 of these threads)...but it is something that has been asked in 9001 other threads.

You start from scratch. There are some titles. You get a R&D: Aegis DOFF.

But yep, that's definitely something that should have been included in the Release Notes for tomorrow as well...hrmmm.

Everyone will start with zero XP in the new system.

Folks who have done anything with the old system will get the Dabbler title. Folks who maxed out the old system will get the Genius title and a doff with one of the new crafting traits (the Aegis crafting one). That's according to what they've said, and could change, I guess.
