so I have never really ever used this ship.. so today I decided to purchase one since I just watched the Pasteur blow up lol.. and this is easily one of the worst representations of a canon ship in the game.. it looks nothing like it.. (im not surprised, early cryptic art work was meh and they took liberties a lot).

that being said, have they ever acknowledged this, or is there a skin somewhere im not looking for it to be an actual Olympic class?

its a shame, it is actually a really good looking ship in all good things.. the three ships we have in game are pretty fugly..

Well, from a pure canon perspective, one could argue that the Pasteur, being from an alternate timeline that was erased at the end of the episode, would not necessarily have the same appearance as the Olympic class in the Prime (STO) timeline. Since STO is pretty much the closest to canon the prime timeline has had after the end of VOY, the STO Olympic class could be considered more accurate than the Pasteur. Of course, they do not help in saying that the Pasteur is representative of the Olympic class; just consider the Olympic as presented to represent an undocumented refit.

Ah the "let's just call some badly distorted version that is barely recognizeable as a refit gambit" we've seen with the Zephyr and Oslo classes. Brilliant.
Let's do that to every canon ship so that none appears as it did in the show then, I bet that will make everyone who plays this game happy.

Ok so you are saying that STO often incorrect models are in fact correct, I suppose in your view the Dreadnought Cruiser in STO is correct with their crocked lance and other inconsistencies compared with the model ...

I don't think he means that...but that the Dreadnought Cruiser looks like a masterpiece of accuracy by comparison since you don't have to put a sign saying "this is supposed to be the Galaxy class from that certain episode" next to it.;)

nice, the dev says its amazing and keep up the good work.. but I wonder if that work is going to pay off.. have they even corrected any of the issues you have thrown up there

as for the other posters explanation.. well its pretty weak.. the refits and what not are the hope and the other design. the Olympic should have stayed true to whats on screen..

its disappointing. considering as I just watched the scene again, there are pretty clear, and good angled images of it from the episode. its not like it was a blury mess like some of the other ships to try and see what was going on. I just feel someone really dropped the ball on this. and it should be corrected..
