Ok, Fleeted the ship, Always wanted to like it. But, 2 tac slots makes it another hard one. lol
But, boredom with Min-Maxing made my go back to fun ships. At least what I want to fly. So here it is. Thanks to Rom Plasma at least it doesn't suck.
Engineer Captian.

2 Conn Doffs for Tac Team. (Golbal)
3 Energy Weapon Officers for beam attacks.(Almost Always Global)
1 Warp Core Engineer.
Traits, Percision, Advanced Targetting, Both Nukara T4 Offense/Defense.
Gotta replace the Sci Consoles, Power insulator, Graviton Gen, etc.
Running the Nukara shield, simply because it looks badass ont his ship. I do have an Elite Fleet Res B in Inventory.

Looks like you're trying to force the traditional DPS ways onto a ship that can't support it too much though. Need to embrace the sci heavy aspect of the ship more for your DPS output. Focus your sci boff skills onto exotic particle damage if you want more dps. Things like TBR, and feedback pulse.
As such, more fleet embassy particle gen consoles with [Pla] helps too.
My Build is capable of 20k ish sustained iirc, and can spike up to 24K. Not too shabby for an Engineer.
Might give you some ideas.
See notes tab for extra infos.
A nice 1-2 combo punch is doffed TBR (so it pulls) and EWP3, epic pull and snare + dps unsues
I haven't gone back to my Corsair yet since the Undine stuff came out (flying other new shiny ships for the moment), so my build could likely use a tweak here and there with new gear, but as it is, it's a very solid dps tanker for an engy
EDIT: And I agree on the Nukara shield skin, if only they'd decouple the skins from having to wear the shield, I'd use that one all the time!
Also: Updated my Corsair build page with changes I'd likely make next time I fly it.
nice build. And I don't PVP anymore, Since any shied can do PVP Im just going for looks at this point.
Is there anyway to see if that Crystalline Refraction ever does anything? lol
Drop tt & doff, put in beta & doff.
Use 2 piece nukara and 1 piece cc or romulan, not the other way around.
Fit plasmonic leech and flow cap.
Your Power Insulators Console IMO is kind of a waste. Unless you're PVP'ing, drains are something that's almost nothing you face. NPCs don't really do Energy Siphon and Tykien's Rift are so rare. I never noticed Polaron effects in PVE from NPCs shooting at me.
For what you currently have, I would replace that PI Console with a Rom Embassy Graviton Gen Console with +Plasma. Or you can do Particle Generators to increase damage effects of your science skills. Particle Generators also increase the plasma dot burn. You can confirm this yourself by comparing DOT strength in the UI by removing and installing something with Particle Generators.
Also saw you have Tykien's Rift. Tykien's Rift and Gravity Well throw each other into shared CDs. You also have no equipment that strengthens Flow Capacitors. Skillpoints aren't enough because Drains require mountainous overspeccing to make them even halfway useful. I'd recommend replacing TR with something else.
