This is definately a problem. Lower level newbies get smashed to bits and can't complete the mission, but often a veteran player can come in and effectivly solo the map.

They need to add a bit more than "kill 4 patrols to spawn the Unimatrix", maybe saving some civilian transports from some probes or some thing a bit easier as an optional. That way if newer players fail the main mission they can still get a reward for something.

The borg red alerts is, like PVP or Kerrat, one of those spots where the differences in level between starting and veteran players become painfully obvious.

Newbies get frustrated by the massive borg vessel, veteran players get frustrated by the "useless newbie flodder".

Part of this chasm can be explained though fleet/reputation gear and part though experience. In general veteran player know how get to make best use of their ships.

Though it is only a partial solution due to the rapid leveling, i would suggest that the Borg Red Alert can only be entered from level 40 and above.

To counteract the higher average level the Borg RA would have to be scaled up to the level which we see in Defera space (i keep forgetting the exact name).

The higher difficulty may discourage players to tackle the RA when the rewards are a measly 10 Omega marks and 480 dilithium. To encourage players i would propose random dropped items ala borg salvage from and access to liberated borg doffs.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
