I know it's the least desired ship as far as I am concerned, though I have seen a couple (not many mind) about. I think the more common ships are the Dominion ones, followed by the Temporal ones; at least that's what I've noticed.

Its too late for that, the church is already in ashes since the undine lockbox :P, cryptic just opened the door and its probably that the xindi lockbox its just a little distraction to the next lock box.. aka the borg era.

Aren't the Lockbox ships a bit of a Flavor of the month anyway?

I mean sure some of them are great ships, and some will use them frequently, But I suspect most players will revert back to their faction ships after a while because they feel more at home in the Trek world

Maybe not so much with Tal Shiar ships since those still feel romulan, But I think the Undine ships in particular just feel out of place with the rest of the game world.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I like to use faction vessels and weapons as much as possible snce it feels more in keeping with the world of Trek

On the question of how many lock box (or lobi) ships do you see anyway, over the last week or so I've seen one undine ship.

Over that time, I've seen 4 or 5 JHDC's, two D'Koras, a couple of Tholian birds and one Wells.

No Galors, although I do see them from time to time.

Also, oddly, haven't seen any hirogen ships.

However, this is only what I've seen. There are many areas of the game i don't regulary visit.

Thus my experience in this specific regard can not be relied upon.

My feelings about the Undine ship aside, its clearly a well-specced ship and thus will have a following.

I'm sure the box has not been an abject failure.

However, I seriously doubt its been their most succesful either, as there is clearly a significent proportion of players that hate the very idea of it.

Almost certainly not a majority or even a big minority, but enough to prevent the box from becoming a mega hit.

I am the same. Short of a Tal Shiar Battlecruiser I own, I have no intention of acquiring any other Lock Box Ship. I'm quite happy in my Federation or Klingon vessels.

Unimatrix carrier with Probe frigate pets, an escort-style Probe in the lockbox and a Sphere Sci/Destroyer with special secondary deflector in the Lobi store. The carrier will either drop from a doff-pack or you'll be able to craft one after getting the Probe/Sphere set and grinding special materials in a new FE/queue/battlezone.
    (does that sound plausible?)

And all people do is park em outside ESD.

Well except for mirror ships (( to get the skin unlocked )) i dont use lockbox ships, i see no point using enemy ships at all.

What i use is Fleet Ships.

What's that TOS episode with the Space Hippies called? I don't mind a Space Hippy Lock Box with a ship shape like a VW Campervan with an uber-funky paintjob. :D I forgot the aliens name, but man they were cool space hippies.

They don't really care how well the boxes do, so long as the keys sell. Remember, the boxes are free and the keys are the thing that cost Zen.

I definitely feel that way about my Orbweaver and Mobius, but personally the Undine ships work quite well with my character and have become the new staple. To be fair I've made it a theme for the one I've got the cruiser (EC) and Nicor (damned lucky) for thanks to some of the ground gear for but I think its the easiest of the sets (besides the Tal Shiar) to really get into.

I'm hoping for the tranya guy's ship. Maybe they could wrap them both together into a "Tripping" box?

Nicors have been more in demand than any recent box ship.

Nicor prices started quite high and have remained quite high.

It's the most successful lockbox in some time.

I've followed the marker closely because i've been acquiring many of them for the purpose of reselling later when the box isn't current and the price has gone up.

I would laugh so hard if all the market was driven by speculatiors such as yourself, as opposed to a genuine desire for the ship among the general populace.

I make a lot of money selling keys anytime. But most esp so when a new lockbox comes around. So to me, it doesn't matter.

Exchange prices went from 60-80M to well over 100M. I would guess most people won't spend that much. I will not. So whatever group is inflating the prices of ships might be pricing themselves out of business.

This particular subject comes out after every lockbox.

Granted with the latest monetizing, I would imagine they aren't doing as well as they did, but the fact that they keep releasing them means they are doing well enough.

i've seen plenty of nicors and dromias, though mostly in pug ESTFs and around risa, but like a few others mentioned in this thread, the JHDC is probably the most successful box/lobi ship ever.

the fact it was(and still is) hands down the best DPS-oriented carrier(and best overall carried tied with the recluse) when it was released might have something to do with it lol.

unlikely, if there is one thing i've learned in STO, is that no matter how expensive, some crazy dude will buy it.

Sorry but the Karfi is in par or even better than the JHDC, and it is not even a lobi ship.

I think people is just finally seeing how bad for the game are the lockboxes, thats all.

I dont see too many nicors and dromias, maybe one everytime i go to ESD or Qonos, i dont see more than 1 or 2 around in hours. Same with other lockbox ships from the last few months. Lets hope that finally people realized that they dont need and they should not have a lobi ship lol.

I have a Nicor on my Starfleet Tac. I love it. It's war in a can. I mostly do pug estf's because my fleet operates on American time. I also have the JHDC on my KDF Tac. I like the ship, it's a sweet ride, but it's dps feels slower. I just wish they'd remove the prerequisite of having to own the Bug in order to get the hanger pets, 400mil for a hanger pet is NOT a good deal. Also have the Jem Heavy Escort, on the fence with that one, doesn't seem like a very successful ship, need to tweak the build I have for that one I think.
Time is a funny thing; There is always too much of it. Except when you need it the most, then there is never enough.

Well, he is right, happened ~a week ago (and happens in regular intervalls, with other items too, like mirror Mogai, certein traits ...), all Adapted Destroyers below 169 Million EC "disappeared" from the Exchange and were re-listet at said price.
(fortunately many of such manipulations are without success)

Well, after not seeing any of these ships for ages, last night I encountered two.

One in a CEE and another in a fleet alert.

    Guess they're like buses.

You wait for a long time with nothing, then two turn up.
