Best career for a liberated borg?

spaceeagle20spaceeagle20 Member Posts: 971 Arc User
I've just gone lifer ... and then I unlocked the liberated borg character race.
As far as I can see, he's got 1 unique trait and 1 uncommon trait.
THe unique one is the neural blast.
The uncommon one is .. ok not specifically a trait ... is the warp core efficiency which is pretty meh , in present STO.
I think the first one would call for a nice ground scientist.
Your thoughts?

    I would take a different race^^

But Sci sounds ok, or Tac, if he has creative-trait (in his pool) and you go on close combat.

lib borg players do not have access to creative... least my lib rom sci toon does not and I do not recall my lib borg human having it either.

go either tac or engineer for fed or kdf... since you cant get creative to boost the dmg or heals of science.

Just as a Sidenote, the only Sci-Dmg-Ability enhanced by creative is Sonic pulse, so its only worth it if you go on heal or semi-heal kits (though i dislike this playstyle). The only one really profiting from creative are close combatans tacticians, since sweeping strikes and lunge is enhanced by it.

Well, then i have been lucky to choose an engie career for my ferengi, created when the tuffli was worth something ( and after 9.5 it won't be worth **** lol) .
So it seems sci is the best option, since the neural blast is a stunning / placate ability which can be combined with some other similar ability.
I am not trying to build a PvE ground monster : i already have 2 bomber engies ( and the ferengi growing up ) a firearms tac, 2 melee tacs and a grav well reman sci ... who right now is great ... until Cryptic will prevent 3 doffs from stacking their abilities as i have heard somewhere : i fear that day ...

My Main character is a Liberated Borg Engineer, who has, (with the exception of the Romulan Tactical BOs) an all 'Efficient' Saurian Bridge Crew... You need at least 2 - 3 Efficient BOs with a Efficient Captain to really start noticing a difference in Ship power generation...

If you have already tried them all

    whats with the question ?
    Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
    Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

Borg are loads of fun in ground combat. They don't really excel in any specific aspect as their ground traits are either passive defensive buffs, or things that are very versatile.

One of mine is a Fab Eng, the other mixes things up by combining grenades with Melee.
