Diplomacy CXP

With the loss of the cluster exploration missions and by extension, the outreach missions, what is being done to compensate for the loss of opportunity to earn diplomacy CXP?

Diplomacy was already a slow grind. The transwarps, at least on the Fed side, seemed to match up the ranks with story arcs, rank 1 got you K7 for the Klingon missions, rank 2 was starbase 39 for the Romulan ones, and so on. Trouble is, the Diplomacy CXP took so long that by the time you got the transwarp, you were likely already long past the missions it was relevant for. Now it's going to take even longer. Honestly not sure if I'll even bother with DOFF missions on my alts.

This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!

    It's ranks 2 (K7) 3 (SB 39) and 4 (DS9) for the transwarp prizes...

I remember grinding it out on a couple of toons, and slowly working my alts, to have tier 4 when "Transwarp to DS9" meant something - specifically a shortcut from wherever I was to hand things in to Roxy. "Recent developments" have rendered the entire Diplomacy chain's reward system "moot".

Transwarps to the bases? Not needed when you have reputation transwarps. My KDF uses the Omega "transwarp to Defera" to bypass the Sierra sector "lockdown" on her Q'onos -> DS9 trip (instead of flying through EE / Orellius then wind up in Beta Ursae...)

Then the cease fire gives all who complete it a version of Diplomatic Immunity (a T3 diplo/marauding reward) so that we can fly through "enemy" space at will...

All you really get for maxing diplo now is the exchange BOff, the ability to grant driver coil speed boosts, and the diplo uniform (the white one worn at the start of Insurrection)...

Oh, it's also semi-easy to keep slogging diplo missions for the 10,000 CXP needed to convert to fleet marks... :)
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

I got this one done on three characters before doffs even existed. These days it's a walk in the park compared to then. The memories. :')

The diplomacy missions at Memory Alpha have also been removed.

    Quoting myself from another thread:

    (b) I would like to remind the devs that certain diplomacy missions can be found only at Memory Alpha. The amount of diplomacy XP awarded is small, but the removal of Memory Alpha also removes these non-combat, story-driven missions. The following missions can currently be found at Memory Alpha:

    (i) Taste of Home. Give Kirayoshi O'Brien a Bajoran jumja stick.
(ii) Quarantine. Deliver a shipment to Dr. Yoc'm at Deep Space K-7.
(iii) Family Ties, Hostile Takeover, and Shady Supplies. Resolve disputes among a family of Ferengis.

    Not really.

The old system only required 1,360 DXP. You could hit the first rank by doing the set missions and get access to Jiro for regular, guaranteed missions that kicked out DXP and could be finished in, like, a minute. You'd only need about 1,200 DXP at this point, which would be 120 standard missions which kick out DXP. First Contact missions counted as double. Each patrol had a mission guaranteed to kick out DXP.
