Fleet Tor'khat Cannons only build...

I tried setting up a Fleet Tor'khat as an all cannon ship, but found it to be ineffective without slotting a forward torpedo. There aren't enough cannon skills to warrant an all cannon ship. I have all 360 turrets in the rear and regular dual cannons in the front with one torpedo.

Has anyone successfully run this ship using nothing but cannons? What was the setup?

This is my build. Or rather it's the build I want. Right now the cannons I'm running are free plasma-disruptor hybrid DHCs and blue mk XI turrets.

I ran this for 9 months from Feb to Oct last year and never regretted it. The thing had so much DPS it was insane xD

This is an old build from before the Mine consoles, but I just slotted the Fleet upgrade versions of both (Neutronium and an RCS, sometimes 2 RCS's, sometimes 2 Neutroniums) and then upgraded my Tactical Consoles to the Spire ones when those came around (eventually)

Even now, in an age where Aux2Bat owns this thing, I love to fly it every now and again /sentimental.... xD. The only reason I stopped flying it was because times moved on, and I hate Aux2Bat's.

The only issue I found was the Turn Rate speed keep-up. I got used to it, but, if you aren't used to it yet, for this build to work, you probably will have to live with it initially before you adapt :)

Full notes are in the description and notes tab on appropriate tabs in that link :)

3 techs, marion, keel'el, space warefare or antimatter aux2damo doff.

I stole swords build and added my twist to it...I'm mostly too lazy to start a build, but I will augment ones at the ready.

Change ap beta to omega to always make the cooldown cycle with a2b plus the turn/speed boost is excellent

If marion is too pricey, stick an rsp in there, doff could be considered

Threw decent consoles on that I assume sword will be going for if given the chance

Didn't look at skills/notes so sorry if those are filled

added epte for more speed/turn as well. Weapons because you don't need epts in stfs.

Changed warp core for more dps plus it's only a viable through the lobi Dyson which you may or may not have.

    Cheers

Uhm, the Dyson warp core is readily available through the Rep. It's the Solanae you're talking about, I think.

But, just wondering here: Why the Dyson set?

tork is an excellent ship for cannons

you only need canon rapid fire and scatter volley and with its tack slots you still have room for a tact team and beam overload and another attack pattern.

adding a torp will just weaken the build.

personally I hate the aux2batt build others like it so that all gonna be up to you. either way doffs are going to be an important and expensive part of the build. or extremely time consuming if you go the nebula chain route.

something like this is a alternative to the a2b and these doffs are cheaper than tech doffs

I like that set as well but I took it off my tork after only a day and went back to the adapted honor guard.

I liked the power boost without having to lose a console for leech more than the small repair it gave. and if the enemy is dead you have more than enough time to repair so I went for the kill over the mostly unneeded tanking abilities of another heal.

the entire build with 2 versions that I use depending on enemy with the boff. power trays and doff layouts provided.
