I heard that there was a high DPS build (potentially higher than an A2B build) that uses a high subsystem power level, other than weapons. The person that I talked with said that it uses certain BOFF abilities to boost DPS higher than the A2B build.
They didn't give the full details, however they did take out ships much faster than an A2B build in PVE, and the person running it only told me a few details about it before logging.
They did mention that it can be used on almost any build, and was not the Aux weapons.
I have tried to find this build, but I can't find anything about it. All I can find is people saying they get higher DPS than A2B builds, but I haven't seen where they explain it.
I like to play with different builds, and would like any help I can get with getting information on this build, or any others that might give higher DPS than the A2B build.
I have the following ships that I can use:
Sci/Dest on all factions from the anniversary grind event.
Breen Raider on all factions from the winter grind event.
C-Store Defiant (the one with the cloak). Also, the fleet Defiant on one toon only.
Scimitar (3-pack bundle).
Mogh.
I have a few other ships that are mirror ships, and the free level 40 ships. However, the ones listed here are the ones that I use the most. The problem with A2B is that some ships on this list cannot use it, or it involves using an universal station for it. I would like to find a build that can increase DPS, and can be used on more ships.
Don't get me wrong though, the A2B is nice, but I have played around with it for a while now, and just want something new to play with. Beams, or cannons, makes no difference to me with the build. I can buy either off the exchange to change the build.
Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Emergency power to X, warp core doff that can boost power levels upon EPTX, Plasmonic leech, batteries, skill tree, certain warp cores, set bonuses.
2 damage control doffs and 2 EPTX + leech can boost all levels to above 75 which will give 12.2% boost from an AMP core.
Really depends on what ship you are using. That will determine what abilities and combinations are available for you to use.
First, I would like to thank you for the reply.
About Emergency Power to X, just want to make sure I understand this correctly. So, if I have maxed weapons power, and shields set to at least 75, then I activate Emergency Power to Engines, and Emergence Power to Auxiliary. This will put all subsystems to 75+, and with the DOFFs and core you suggest, it will increase my DPS?
I am just trying to make sure I understand correctly how it works before giving it a try. Also, does it matter what other skills you use, besides the EPTX?
Thanks again for the reply.

I see what you are saying. To be honest though, I don't have any problems with survivability, and needing to cut and run on my A2B build ships. The only thing is that with the core you were talking about, the A2B will be pointless due to dropping Aux power levels.
I think I will try this system out on my Mogh just for fun though. I already run EPTW1 on it with the A2B build. It really kicked it up a tad. However, with weapons maxed, and the other three at least 75, and the core, I think I might find something fun to play with for a while.
Thank you for the help. I will test it out when I get the chance, and see how it does vs the A2B. I am getting a little bored with that build. It is very simple once setup, and doesn't require more than just clicking buttons. This sounds more like it may require more attention.
Thanks again for all the help. If anyone else has any suggestions on builds, I would very much like to hear them. I am trying to find something new to keep me busy when my health lets me get on. That is, till the season 9.5 comes out. Then I will check out the crafting revamp.
So the more suggestions, the better.

If you spec the full 9 points into Flow Capacitors (why not, it's cheap), Plasmonic Leech gives a nice power boost. Combined with flat boosts from Warp Core Efficiency, Warp Core Potential, and the individual subsystem boosting skills (I usually do 6 points each), keeping your subsystems above 75 isn't usually a problem. I tend to run my first two power presets as "Attack and Speed" (100/25/50/25), and "Attack and Tank" (100/50/25/25). Passive bonuses take care of the rest. Of course if you're using A2B, you'll be at low Aux most of the time regardless. Most people run that for the Technician Doffs that proc off it, not the power bonus that A2B itself actually does. I don't think it actually adds that much, at least not in a reliable fashion.

Since I have the Klink ship from the C-Store that gives the Plasmonic Leech, I might try this on some of my Klinks, and Rommie on the Klink side. I have only one Fed character with the leech, but with the skill tree I have, plus the A2B build, I really don't need it. I have actually removed it so I can get better consoles in it's place.
I am only about level 30something on my Klink, so I will be putting more points into skills that will help the leech. This will be a chance to try this out to see what will happen.
Thank you.

Many people put as much power into Aux as possible and then use the Nukara reputation passives to buff damage. That sounds like what you are asking about. It works for high-DPS builds because most of them are trying to get all of the subsystems over 70 anyway, for the [AMP] bonus on the warp core, so they already have a big headstart with Aux buffing.
Auxiliary Power Configuration - Offense
Auxiliary Power gives offensive buff
In space combat you gain Starship Weapons Training, Starship Energy Weapon Training and Starship Projectile Weapon Training equal to 20% of your Auxiliary Power.
There's also a defensive Nukara rep passive that boosts hull and shields
