Well if you're assuming something that you have no evidence for, you probably shouldn't be contemplating inconsistencies of it if you don't intend to then stop assuming it.

Not assuming anything, just making a statement wondering why they don't just look up on Google what they want here.

Yes, you are assuming something. You're assuming that 'they' want what they can easily Google. But the flaw of that is that there can be many reasons why they want a big bottom on their character.

I try to create a wide range of women/men on my characters, even my Boffs, unless they was part of the story. Then only change they get is hair style. On my Boffs, I got a Sci who is like a short skinny woman. Since those types exist in the world. Then my Eng is a curvy black woman. Once again that type exists in the world. Rest of my crews is like other backgrounds as well. Arabic, Latin, British, Asian, etc. I like to mix it up. Even my other crew from other planets has different body types, features, etc.

I try to make it realistic as I can. So any additional features to the character creator helps me achieve my goals.

Its not like others said, cause I have some fetish. I'm about making it realistic as I can.

Except people don't want Uhura or Troi...they want Kim Kardashian or Nicki Minaj...the game already offers the level of Uhura or Troi.

There is no logical reason except for you know "what" to have a artificial TRIBBLE star body...especially when even Orion women weren't *that* curvy.

Tera and Scarlet Blade are that way

It's called fantasy. People want body types that they don't have IRL(or do have IRL, whatever), and they have as much say in this as the rest of us.

And I don't think it's right to say such offensive things about certain body types. There are many women that have those types of bodies who aren't 'TRIBBLE stars'.

But to be fair, I did see a "Kim Cardassian" in-game before. =p

I'm hardly one to judge about odd taste in my virtual women, but I have to wonder about peoples' sense of aesthetic.

STO's art design isn't conducive to malformed comic book style bodies. It looks dumb. I can't figure out why anyone would want that in this game.

Now, something intentionally cartoony, like War of Worldcraft or Wildstar? Yeah, it would work there.

STO's butts are actually pretty good in terms of proportionality. You can't make them stupid-looking like you can with TRIBBLE (which require man-shoulders to get to maximum size, making your character look even worse than just lugging around planetoids in her uniform).

You can have your slider - I want it, too! - but I hope for all our sakes it doesn't amount to an increased maximum size.

    lianthelia wrote: »

There's nothing BSing about a claim that's justified. Some people want prominent TRIBBLE and butts. Some aren't even attracted to females, therefore aren't doing it so they have a character that's sexy to them. My best friend is asexual and at least two of his female STO characters have large TRIBBLE.

Sorry, but the BSing here is only from people who are just assuming things in order to further their agenda to judge them. And that's deeply offensive to me and probably other people here. If your post is offensive and presumptuous, you're gonna get called out on it.

Edit: And so what if people do want characters that are optimized for their definition of sexual attractiveness? It's none of our business.

No, it's not 'no matter what'. I only reject claims that aren't reasonable, and I present reasons why I deny things.

If you want me to not 'deny' your claims, you need to provide sufficient evidence for them. And if you want to argue against my reasons, you need to post a proper retort instead of "I'm right, but you'll just deny it".

Yeah I know, if it was really about simple looks and not about sex appeal then it wouldn't make such a big deal...I mean it's not like there isn't already plenty of curves to be had and we're all just playing a bunch of blood elves (Since someone brought up wow).

tbh, most characters(either NPC or not) seem to have a chronic lack of TRIBBLE in this game(and hips), while being hilariously top heavy(mostly players), which looks really out of place.

making a slider specifically for asses is an improvement, hopefully it will help fix that(for some reason most players are loathe to increase hip size, even if the max isn't all that big).

also you could argue that any modification that involves "making something look better for someone" is adding sex appeal, so... meh.

And people dont realize.. but with that option we are going to have graphic glitches and crippled costumes everywhere.. i guess people really dont care about seeing a glitched costume if they have their bonkadonk feature implemented.

God forbid people want some hips? If people hate hips so much...you think it's going to be better with a backside slider? The game will look more anime like than ever...will see people with these big bewbs and huge arses while being to thin to logically support such over-sized proportions.

People want bathing suits to be wearable anywhere...make these few changes and this will be some warped anime world where those *assets* will be held into tight uniforms and bikinis without popping out by anime magic.

Actually, you need a few classes. The first is "opinion vs. fact". Whether someone is "attractive" or "feminine" (oh, take a spelling class too) or "curvy" is a matter of opinion, which means each person's is as valid as the next person's. That also means no one's is right or wrong, merely different.

Popular and unpopular are valid labels for opinions, if and only if you have factual statistics, but not right or wrong. Those lie in the realm of fact.

This means your opinion means exactly as much (no more, no less) than the person's that you replied to, or mine, or tacofangs', or askray's, (just to pull two names out of a hat) or anybody else's.

So, laughing at someone or calling them "stupid" because their opinion is "wrong" just shows your own ignorance and intolerance of others' views. Please take it down a notch, and remember that we're all friends here.

The way the jacket hangs on my toon makes her bum gigantic. Considering that said toon is supposed to have no curves at all, I find it irritating for me. But for someone else, it would be good!

Well, ideally the new slider would be set at the middle for the current shapes... which would mean that, when making a character using that uniform, you could move it down to reduce the effect. :)

Sure, why not? More customization options are always a good thing. One of my favorite parts of Elder Scrolls games & City of Heroes (among others), and why I still keep a copy of that Saint's Row 3 character builder program around (even though I didn't like the actual game when I tried it during a Steam demo weekend).
