Question about Alien Characters

I know you can customize aliens a lot in the editor but I have seen a few in the game with tails. How do you add tails to an Alien BOFF or Captain? I have never seen any option for it anywhere.

I think it was a glitch that allowed the tail to be added to non-cat people. That bug was fixed in the last patch and thus you can not select a tail for your alien.

At least that is what happened to my knowledge. I might be wrong though.

I believe it was either Saurians or Rigelians that had the tail glitch as my main is an Alien and has never had that option. IIRC Jayce or Skiffy on Priority One Podcast was calling for the Klingon Head Ridges thing on this glitch.

On that subject, I would pay for feline options for my Alien builds. I'd in fact pay the full price of a Caitian captain for the ability to make a more humanoid feline alien type. Cat ears, tail, jump and pounce (and whiskers even) would make this player of catgirls very very happy.

They have stated they will never add unique species parts to the alien due to them being premium C-store items.

It makes sense that they want too limit some species part to that particular species if that species is in the C store, but I think if people purchase that species those options should be unlocked in the alien generator as well.

Weren't there rumors that Cryptic was working on adding tails into the costume editor, not necessarily cat tails, but tails in general? I might be wrong.

For aliens id like to see a variety of tails or a second pair of arms for aliens... (( remember TNG that piano woman with the 4 arms ))... or 3 fingers , 4 fingers , 6 fingers....and so on.. id say we get an alien revamp :D

also i wish that romulan aliens get teh same customization as federation aliens...

for example .. on my FED toon i can make back-head huge... on my romulan-alien i cant....

oh and on rulians id like purple LEDs for kits and other glowign option ...=)

Noooo ... You'll incur the Wrath of Inigo Montoya with that option!!!

But I do agree that Cryptic needs to open up the Character Editor more, especially if you've e actually bought stuff from the C-Store. It's really no longer possible to even use the "canon" or "IP Rights" arguments, after first seeing the combinations in a Klingon Fleet Starbase, and now with the combinations being shown on Risa.

There is no reason, short of a lack of interest in changing it, that Cryptic is leaving all the weird and arbitrary restrictions in place.
