I don't have a problem with it, not every dev bug fixes and besides, in case you haven't noticed Alienware have their logo at the bottom most pages on the site.

Yep, the four logos from four crappy companies down there at the bottom. ;)

if you think all four are crappy, why are you even here?

    I'm playing Star Trek Online.
    I'm not playing Champions Online.
    I'm not playing Neverwinter.

I can have issues with a company and still enjoy a product they have.

Blinking lights make a game good for you? I have a suggestion for you that will further enrich your playing experience. Attach a bell to your spacebar. I bet the game will go to the next level for you. Quite possibly the level above that, even.

Your premise is based on there being a dev that knows nothing of coding anything but one specific field. Such as making Alienware lights turning on and off. No. I'm sure each dev is capable of doing various tasks but is assigned to a particular task by management. Management should be assigning people to the things that matter. Things that affect the majority of the player base, not a small subsection.

Management may already have people assigned to the bugs.

Question to Cryptic: "Hey! The logo says 'Plays Best on Alienware.' What's better on their stuff?"

To be honest, if the little light for my NumLock changed while playing STO...I'd be concerned. ;)

At least you HAVE a NumLock light...

Who wants to come to my pity party?

Damn me for being so thoughtless with my first world problems!

Also keep in mind that some things are either very simple to switch on while adjusting something else, or actually a by-product of something else that was added/adjusted for some entirely different reason and the STO team chose to announce this as a feature for marketing value.

It isn't wise to just assume this particular feature took a lot of work, or any extra work...

This. Alienware's overpriced and overrated. Pay me $2000 and I will frakking build you a better-performing box for a third of what you'd pay for one of their premades.

This is true, and additionally you will learn / have a better understanding of your PC when you build it yourself.

I like Champions and STO ... what i do not like is:

Cryptic shows almost no love for Champions...

Cryptics somehow makes a troll game of Star Trek ... fun is okay but its a bit clownish at some points now.

It is possible that Cryptic or PWE has some sort of deal going on with Alienware. They had a couple of promotions for Neverwinter and Star Trek Online and they were involved in the Design the Next Enterprise contest. So it might be that Cryptic was legally obligated to do this.

That might have been true 20-30 years ago. Nowadays all it takes to "build" a PC is a screwdriver and twenty minutes.
