Choice of superior boards is a pain

Hey guys

First off: Great job on Risa. I love it!

What I have issues with is matching the name of the boards in the store to the actual exhibit displayed next to the vendor girl. If I see a certain color/pattern I like, it's almost impossible to tell which one I have to pick from the store. The problem gets even worse for color blind people.

At 1000 favors a piece that's an issue. Can you fit some tags to the displays at least? Or do something else about it? Thanks!

    i have to agree, im not buying one till i can determine which is which compared to the boards on display, its a costly mistake if i get the wrong one...

    Can't you rightclick->info on the item in the store and get the 3d model of it to look at?

    Nope. All you have to go on is the item thumbnails in the reputation store. (Unlike the clothing, which has a preview.) Although I think I can determine which is which based only on the thumb.

    I can with the low and mid-level ones, but not the higher ones (except the faction ones).

    Looks like Risa is still disabled on Tribble.

    i was going around risa at the bar area with the geologist...it looks like there are boards on the 2nd floor that on on their ends pointing up. check those perhaps?

    I do get what you mean, really, but... it's kind of obvious which is which.

    The Yellow Blazer is... the yellow one.
    Creamsicle Crush is... the orange one. Orange Creamsicle, you know?
    Lavender Highliner is... the lavender (light purple) one.
    Midnight Marauder is the dark one.

    Then the Federation/Klingon ones are obvious, of course.

    I do wish we had preview images of what we were getting, those icons are not doing it for my eyes.

    I mostly want to know which of the boards is the purple flames with the Live Long and Prosper (LLAP) symbol at the front/top, and none of the icons seem to suggest it's any of them.

    I'm not wanting to grind for these and find out I've gotten one I don't want.

    Also, does anyone know if the 1500 favor boards are better than the 1000 favor boards? Or is the 500 favor difference just the cost of the faction logo?

    The 1500 favor board is better than all the boards. I have been able to out race any of the other boards. It is costly and a lot of grind work to get it, but worth it if you want to place.

    I think that's you, because the 1500 Favor Boards are Superior-type just like the others. If it was the fastest, then it would've been a different type.

    Yes! Someone else besides me has noticed this. I have been asking around all day to determine which board is the one hovering above the small pool in the promenade. (the one with only purple shades) The lavender highliner looks like it has yellow streaks and other colors, and I think it is also on display in the room because I found one that looks just like the pic- and I don't want that one, I want the one hovering above the pool. But none of them seem to match that one!

    Yeah, if you look around, you'll see several boards that you can't buy. Another that was mentioned earlier is emerald green. But you can't buy one.

    If you're post is under the 10 character limit, go down 2 lines and type /10Char.
    If it's still too short, whatever you were writing isn't important.

    Placeholders for next year's Risa equivalent to the last Q's WW Red and Green winter coats. ;)

    I suspect there may have been a certain lack of communication between the people who made the boards and who made the resort.

    I just realized the Sky And White Enhanced Board is not even on display in the powerboard area.

    I just got one - it has a sky blue body and white flames with an orange border. I'll post a picture shortly. (Is anyone collecting them?)

    I tried identifying all the display boards after the devblog revealed the board names. It's nice to finally see this one, it looks pretty cool.

    I'm not entirely sure the Midnight Marauder is on display. The thumbnail icon looks black and blue, but I haven't seen one like that on display. There are a couple other dark superior boards on display (green and red) that might not be attainable.

    I think MM is one of the boards by the stairs, hard to be sure.

    The creamsicle crush is not orange at all! It is yellow and brown, so stupid. Thumbnails should have been made. I really did waste 1,000 favors on a creamsicle board that is not "creamsicle" colored at all. Nice going Craptic !

    Yeah, I really wanted that green one on the podium just to the left of the 'powerboard cashier', between the Fed and KDF models.
