One of the best kept secrets on STO is out, and just in time for summer!
Last year, players complained they missed out on Summer Event rewards - some by just a few hours - due to lack of information. In the summer rush, most players were out looking for number 1 and there was little time to be helpful till it was too late. Some didn't even know about the event until a week after. Thankfully, last year the Summer event was extended. This year however, we should not expect any such miracle. Which is why our friends at XTERN1TY have prepared in advance for this year's Summer Event, and are ready to help you hit the ground running.
All you need to do is type: /join channel XTERN1TY
Once in the channel, you can request game help from active longterm veteran and fellow players like yourself who have done the Summer Event before and can guide you on any quests you are unfamiliar with. The channel is staffed 24/7 and administrated by 10 admins, with no fewer than 2 on at any given time.
If you haven't heard of player help channel XTERN1TY before, you're not alone. Unlike many channels, it does not advertise much or spam zone chat daily. It has however gathered a strong close-knit community of active players. Hour by hour, the channel is more active than other more popular channels; and unlike many channels which banter and quarrel, help channel XTERN1TY delivers straightforward, relevant answers to game help requests.
The most important things we recommend players who want to get Summer Event rewards is:
- Get started as soon as possible - Event goes online TODAY!
- Establish a regular routine schedule to get rewards required for the Corvette and Cruiser Yacht done daily.
- Get lohlunat tokens first, if you do not yet have a floater or speedboard, as you will need them for tokens that reward the ships.
Many of the XTERN1TY channel Admins and members will be on-ground in Risa for the Summer Event and will be able to guide you if you are not familiar with the events or how to obtain the Risan accolades, but you need to join the channel first by typing: /join channel XTERN1TY and making your request in channel.
