About Battle Cloak/Enhanced Battle Cloak

I'm curious, since I have a new build planned but STOWiki doesn't have the necessary information on it.

In regards to Battle Cloak and/or Enhanced Battle Cloak, what bridge officer and captain powers can be activated while the Cloak is active?

Powers I'm looking for in particular are:
All Engineering captain powers
Tac/Sci/Eng Teams
Hazards
Aux2SIF
TSS
Jam Sensors
Eject Warp Plasma
APD
EPtA
Extend Shields (will this even work with 0 Shield Power due to cloak?)

    With enhanced battle cloak, I.E. a B'rel or T'Varo, pretty much everything you put down will work except shield heals. With battle cloak, EPTW, EPTA, EPTE, teams, A2SIF, HE, APx, and DPx will work.
    Running energy weapons with EBC ships isn't normal because of what it works best with, but the T'Varo is the one you'll find with energy weapons every now and then.
    With battle cloak, your choices are more limited.

    I see I forgot to qualify things. The powers will work while EBC is active.

    sci skills will also work with EBC like photonic fleet gravwell and so on.

    "except shield heals". So the EBC not only prevents Extend Shields from activating, but TSS as well... but SciTeam still works?

    And the Engineering Captain powers such as EPS Power Transfer?

    Most captain powers will work under the effects of BC/EBC. Particularly the latter. It's why a sci captain in a B'rel or T'varo can sometimes be a LOT more annoying than a tac captain. All the tac can do is kill you (or try to kill you). The sci is gonna Sensor Scan you, SNB you, probably other tricks, then try and kill you on top of that.

    You can TSS others.

    This was a cheap and cheerful config (except the TBR DOFF to make it pull, that 3.8mill.)

    A good rule of thumb:

    If the power only targets you and cannot target anyone else, it can be used under any cloak.

    If the power can target anyone else, it can't be used under cloak, even if it targets yourself. The Enhanced Battle Cloak is the exception to this rule.

    There are exceptions.

    Shield healing powers can be used but your shields themselves are not available, and so are unaffected. So while you can use the powers, they won't actually do anything, and you've wasted the power.

    There you go, that is the basic build I used in the videos. Still tweaking / improving the set up, but it is fun to do (also got something like it on a corvette as well)

    There is a huge glaring weakness of ebc, you cant use proton barrage

    It doesn't matter to me.

    I don't even fully maximize the EBC anymore. I use the B'Rel (if at all) like a traditional BOP with the added benefit of using heals on myself while cloaked. I'm tired of NPCs from every possible direction shooting at me as soon as a non-self targeting ability is used while under EBC. Hence the playstyle of a regular BOP, which is vastly superior and the stupid EBC gimmick of attacking while cloaked won't get you killed quickly. As if life on a BOP is already dangerous as it is.

    And Kahless help you if you get caught attacking while under EBC during PVP.

    For me with Birds of Prey, it's the B'Rel or nothing at all. Faults and all.

    I hear of people OHKO ing people with proton barrage so I thought I would try it on a b'rel, turned out it doesnt work

    My favorite b'rel build right now is using 4 bio torps front and 2 mine launchers rear, put ultra rare doff that boosts aux when cloaked so with the right warp core 130 aux and run hull heals and sensor jamming/scrambling helps with high aux and a couple of countermeasure consoles. It works really well against undine but anywhere really with all that radiation damage to hull bypassing the shields and is very fun for however it lasts until cryptic nerfs it.

    Edit: As in the past though if it makes a b'rel usable in EBC mode its going to get nerfed lol.
