Isn't RML somewhat obsolete now? Generally when I pug I fly middle to guard Kang, and people go every which way. If I'm lucky at least three will go right and someone else will go left. In any event, I haven't had a failed optional in some time.
Most groups I play with have multiple peeps playing active guard and shooting raptors before they get in range. Whoever isn't guarding(shooting the raptors down before they can get close enough to fire) takes out the emplacements.
As long as you can smash the spawned ships it doesn't make a lot of difference what order the Cubes get busted.
To me "Kang Duty" means the solo ship meant to protect the Kang while all the others take out the bays, and the ship in the video was not protecting the Kang.
The main problem with people not getting the optional in CSE is that they are too busy chasing ships heading to the kang and not taking out the bays... let the ship protecting the Kang deal with those.
This is especially easy if the protector is using a carrier with pets set to defend the Kang. They won't let anything near it in most cases. and the carrier itself can handle the rest.
In short if you're not on Kang protection duty, don't chase the warbirds, etc. take out the bays. That's the most important thing.

Well, the only thing he doesnt do is taking out Raptors in middle, but traps them with GW and goes back after destroying left raptors. It would be better, if he destroyd both, but what he does is the best kang duty someome can do. If you just sit on top of the kang, or only engaging spawns, but are fast in destroying them, it would be a waste of dps not to engage the cubes, as long as you are fast enough to react to new spawn.
Why should someone wait at kang, when raptors can be destroyed in 5sec tops?
The only bad thing of the video is the ship-build, or as someone above posted, that its a fun-build. But if it gets the job done, fine with me.
I don't think I've flown a fleet/pestf Cure where someone exclusively "guarded" the Kang for over a year now.
For me, and for everyone I fly with, "RML" simply means 4 people go right, clear everything up including the BoP spawns, while a 5th person clears up the middle and left BoP spawns, and should have enough dps to not worry about having to heal Kang. If they have some time, the Kang guard can take down a node or two.
By the time the team are on middle, one person may have to occasionally fly out to help Kang guard take out the left raptors.
On left, everyone takes out Negh Vars when they appear, otherwise its spam everything.
I find that if we ever have to actually heal the Kang, then our strategy has gone wrong somwhere, and that happens rarely. And under no circumstances should anyone camp near Kang and "wait" for spawns to come to them.

As you said, if you need to heal the kang, you did something horribly wrong^^

I'm not taking about guarding the kang as in healing it etc, I mean one player soloing all the spawns while the others take out the bays themselves as fast as possible. Taking out the bays is the whole objective to getting the optional. there is no need for anyone to chase down spawns if there is one ship haflway to the kang blocking the way and the other 4 are working on the bays.

I see you're using a "fun" build.
