Fleet Science, Fleet Escort... Fleet Cruiser?

So why is it we have a fleet science vessel retrofit (Nova) and a fleet escort retrofit (Gladius) but no fleet cruiser retrofit (Exeter)? It makes no sense...

Now, before people assume this is a T5 "connie" thread, it isn't. It's a thread wondering why we don't have the third part of the three-part set of escort, science vessel, cruiser. It's not like the cruiser can use the TOS TV Constitution skin (round nacelles). While it can use the TMP-TUC Constitution skin (flat nacelles) I'm sure that skin can be "turned off" just as the Monarch skin is not available for the Galaxy Dreadnought.

Discuss...

Last: if this thread is locked for T5 Connie stuff (like others) do I need to change my sig as well? :D

    They surely won't release an Endgame version of an "iconic" ship when they plan to keep the game alive for much more years.

    Means: when you own your own game company, you don't release a money magnet at a very early stage. You need something in your sleve for a later time, or maybe when players/sales are dropping.

    Thats why I also believe we wil get higher tier Mirandas and Oberths to a later time.

    And yes, the Exeter itself is not an iconic design but she pretty much looks like the Enterprise and thats why I used that term.

    Why do we have a Fleet Somraw but no Fleet K'Tanco nor Fleet QulDun...?

    Oh wait, this is the Fed Shipyards...er...er...er...all the same, the T2 Cruiser is not the only missing T2 ship. Just saying...only 3 of the 6 are available, and the Feds have 2 while the KDF have 1...

    The last we heard directly from a dev specifically about the Exeter was an PriorityOne interview of Geko. I want to say in October? Its been a bit. Either way, no reason was given, but he did say it will pretty much never happen.

    I'm thinking it would be an excellent "50 Years of Star Trek" item, and release it in the later part of this year, or early next year.

    Also, we could end up waiting until September 8, 2016 for it, which would be the 50th anniversary of "The Man Trap" being aired in the US.
