..is rare.
But they do happen in solo Q when randomly teamed with and vs good players.
Adapting tactics is the most interesting part.

While it's "popular" to QQ and rage about PvP on all levels here is another perspective:

Match setup:

D'jedis's Dax . . . Entrax
Pesteferius . . . King Mike
Powy . . . VS . . . Starbucks
Marzanne . . . Tellara
Unspoken . . . Trinity

Basically 4 attackers+sci vs 1 attacker+4 sci/non attackers.

Like I promised on OPvP here is the video from match:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JD1sW-ff42I

I made a 10 min recap from what was a 45min long match with great comebacks, kills and teamwork in random teams.
Gone with bit of a cinematic style for this vid.

One of few matches in solo Q in s9 that lasted this long and was fun, any similar experiences?

Not so often, but when you see known names in both teams, you know that will be funny :D

Btw, that bio torp is really nasty, you got a lot of high spikes in spread  Ah, good job on making effective an AoE damage dealer build like in pvp ;)

Random teams can be very, very fun when stars align :)
me getting scrambled while in ramming speed and almost teamkilling mindsharp was funny for example. or cloak button suicide :)

well, before bio torp i did almost same but with gravimetrics. but this is green and has much better HY then grav torp.
i do much higher damage with it on ppl with lower resists, enemy was very though.

Torp Spread III with Gravimetric or Bio-Torp is on par effective with a Overload III if you get your timing perfect. I even use 2 or 3 out of 5 Weapon Consoles for extra Photon Torp damage, since i do nearly every kill with torp spread since last week.

In that match though not the Torp Spread was the problem, but those nasty highly buffed Dispersal Pattern Beta III Web Mines. The first time i got killed those mines alone did ~58k damage and i saw our Tac go down by those mines faster than i could even send heals to him. Maybe they release a Torp version of those mines in the future :D

Btw. sharx, keep up the good work with your Videos since they really are well done and i think may be a good motivation for new guys to start pvp and a motivation for the Vets as well. Everytime I get pissed off by Cryptics "changes", scenes like those in your Videos show that still pvp really can be a lot of fun....even in times when they make the pvp-dilithium mission basically a daily mission.

Yeah web mines did a lot of damage(mindsharp or one of T'varos used it i think) brought you to 3% at one point but you recovered, when we killed you 2nd time we were able to practically scatter your team and get out of that 2nd stalemate. Even though you were not the only healer on your team. Result doesn't really show it, but killing anyone on your team was very hard(except for first kill)

And contrary to popular (singularity jump) belief plasma shockwave with subsys disable proc can work wonders :)

And thanx Entrax, it takes long to make such videos with special effects and stuff and i'm glad that you guys like it. (although few rare guys from OPvP don't like when i put my kills on them in videos :)
