Romulan Aniversary Seems Rushed, Should Have Been Better! (Narada Dreadnought)

While I do like that this anniversary is happening where we can get double the marks and the Tal Shiar lock box again, i do feel like not a lot of thought was put into it. What I mean by this is this was a great chance for Cryptic to make money and for us as players to get something new. The Tal Shiar ships are, lets face it, no longer (if ever) the best ships in the game. The destroyer is too low turning to be an escort so its just a low hulled faw boat, and the cruiser is best used as a healer, which the Bastion and Recluse are now much better choices. I dont see a lot of people using these ships at all and thats just because they dont stand out too much. I think what should have happened should have been the following...

So right after the Voth ships came out we were able to try for a Bullwark, many times we have been able to open things for a Jem'Hadar attack ship... Now these usualy come from a romulan duty officer pack. If this is the case why not on the Romulan anniversary use the Romulan doff pack to get a special Tal Shiar ship? Now what that ship should be is obvious and what its console should be is also obvious...

For this event, or at least as something to happen after it, we should be able to open the Romulan Duty officer pack for a chance to win Nero's Narada dreadnought. This ship should have 1 hangar bay with the special ship of, yup you guessed it, Spock's ship. They would be frigates so only 1 can be launched at a time. For its console it should be something like a black hole maker that is sort of like the opposite of the Temporal ships console. It would Freeze the enemies ship in time, damage it, and put cool downs on all of its abilities... Now some may say man this is too op but look at the tempest right now... I myself got the ship just for its console and may I just say, 3 70k+ critical hits on 1 target its op (now its gonna be nerfed I bet ya, sorry but its for the best, im using it and even I am saying woah, a bit op here) and its a free kill on almost anyone in PvP especially when you take down their shields.

The Narada's Stats should be like so:
43k hull
4:4 weapons arrangement
1.2 shield mod
+10 weapons
+10 shields
4 Engineering
2 Science
4 Tactical
1 Hangar Bay
Black Hole Generator Console
3 Degree turn rate (what ever the JHDC's turn is)

Fighter goes like this:
1: phaser dual cannons
1: phaser turret
1: phaser beam array
EPtE
Ability: Shoot Red Matter (1.5min recharge, causes 10k kinetic damage (reduced by shields) and cripples ships damage resistance by -15 for 15 seconds (does not stack))

If you think about it, this would be a great way to get the Tal Shiar ships more popularity, make cryptic more money, and honestly, make the Romulan Anniversary more memorable. Its a bit sad to think that they missed the opportunity to do this but hopefully they will do an after anniversary event to do something like this.

If this happens, yay and being the sucker I am I'll probably be the first to get one (shakes his pocket full of ec in cryptics face) and if not, well... hopefully my other threat about a Xindi lockbox will come true (please please please be both)

The Tal Shiar ships ARE the closest thing we are gonna get to the Narada. Putting those in was the way to avoid it, without having to outright say no about it either. Personally I enjoy once in awhile flying around in my Adapted Battlecruiser, though I do hope one day to possibly get the Adapted Destroyer as well.

For the thousandth time, Cryptic is legally barred from using anything from the JJverse because Paramount owns them wholly and Cryptic's license agreement is from CBS. The Khnial and the Llaihr are as close as you're ever going to get to the Narada.

The horse has long ago passed dead and is now somewhere in wight territory.

I think you mean the JJ movies. The Narada is indeed from the Prime universe, and even mentioned a few times in STO continuity.

For the record, there's another use I've seen for the TSABC: Uber-tank. I saw one wear a direct hit from Donatra's thalaron blast once (still had over a third of its hull left), and another I PVP'd against took all five members of our group simultaneously to take down.

So the anniversary was bad because you didn't get EXACTLY the ship you wanted in the way you wanted?
Essentially it wasn't enough because the devs didn't read your mind and executed it the way you wanted it? I giving you your dream ueber ship that will obviously not come into the game anyway?

I know who your talking about for the PvP thing, but even so, if thats what you want to do that ship is way out dated, the Bastion does that a hundred times better. I find the only viable thing the TSABC can be used for is a healer or tank and theres many better ships to do that with.
