STO Showdown Tournament

Premise

Multiple fleets join wargame tournament to fight for their honors and greater prizes.


Rules:

-No Spawn Camping
-TIF,Graviton Pulse Generator, D'Kora EMP, Subspace Circuit,Anti Matter Spread are restricted that only one member of each team can use it.
-15 Kill Count
-1 Yellowstones per team
-max 3 of each profession
-max 3 cloakers per team
-No doffs that increase cooldowns when Scramble Sensors is used."
-No console swapping
-30 minute timer to the matches

Tournament matches:

STO Showdown Tournament

Matches will be simultaneously with others, so tournament can go faster.

It would be 5v5 matches.

There will be also referees from different fleets, who will observe matches and see if certain teams/fleets are not following rules.

If fleet has 2 teams, they cannot meet in the first round.

After first round they can.

If the match is not over after 30 minutes, match will continue until teams score first kill if it is a tie.

1st place:

-Hirogen heavy escort
-5x5m EC

2nd place:

-Freighter
-5x5m EC

3rd place:

-5 Fleet Ship Modules

5th or 7th June

4PM EST(9PM BST)

This is inter-fleet sign up thread for the upcoming tournament that is gonna be in 7th June.
5th June is optional in case some of the fleet are more weekday players and not weekend players.
Thus each fleet will state which date best suits them.

As for refeere, each fleet has decide which one of their guys will also be refeere.
Refeere will be put on different matches.

Several of us are also working on Live Twitch matches for upcoming tournament.

Everyone will have 2 weeks to prepare and train for the tournament, in the meantine if some members won't be manage to participate, replacement can be added.

It would be good to join JF Inter-Fleet channel, for easier communication between multiple fleets.

    Cheers,but we already invited some of our fleets we have good relations with.

    So wanted to see if OPVPers are also interested in it.:)

    Sorry,but we do plan to make it fun event,rather than super restrictive.

    We ain't hardcore pvpers nor pvp fleet,this is fun,social and challenge tournament.
    It also helps with better fleet relations within multiple fleets.

    We do will have Refeeres in matches,ones who will observe.

    Still,we can add like no 5x AMS and minor changes to the rules.

    But doffs,yellowstone,basicaly you are restricting people playing with ships they want(Vesta,Galaxy X,Caitian Carrier,etc).

    Plus there is also a word called "adapt".

    ...erm...abviously you are not very much into pvp..
    ..cause otherwise you would know that lots of these rules I suggested, are very important..
    ..if you want to make it a "fun event".

    I really want to help you here...not complaining...in the end you can do what u want...its your tournament.

    But please take some advice.....I'm sure in a few days you will see more and more posts about the rules in this thread. I'm not alone with these thoughts.

    If you really don't add any of my suggestions to the rules...you will defenitly have less not more teams taking part.
    And secondly if you stick to your rules...most of the participants/teams won't have any fun at all.

    Because there will be very very likely 1-3 teams who will happily prey on your ignorance and come up with crazy super spam exploit team-setups, nobody will have fun playing against. And 'adaption' won't help you.

    Trust me please, or go ask other players who know team pvp really well....they will probably confirm what I'm saying here.

    As my fellow fleetmate told we are not a pvp fleet so we appreciate some advice regarding the rules. So after your input we are now adding some additional rules.

    and with this update your tournament dies. rules aren't always about broken/unbroken, sometimes they are about fun. SS + DOFFs is a fun-killer, nobody likes 7 minute cooldowns on 15s abilities (when stacked with TIF and SNB). Console swapping was labelled an exploit by Adjudicator Hawk on this very sub-forum... wow, have fun guys, I'll be skipping this one.

    the other adjustments of the rules are okay...

    but to forbid console swapping would be one of the most important rules...otherwise the tournament is still going to be a mess...I can tell u..

    I would join with a HoBOs team, but that time on Thursday is not good for me, and I'm going to be busy that whole weekend. I think maybe we might have a HoBOs team that will enter...we're just trying to figure out who we can get on those days, but from the looks of it right now, the one on Saturday would probably be better for us.

    Skurf,Thursday date is optional for Weekday players/fleets.

    Saturday is main date,if HOBOs can assemble teams than just go to the Jupiter Force forums and post your team under STO Showdown Inter-Fleet Sign up thread i linked.

    It is open until 4th June.So there is plenty of time for each fleet organize their teams and register on the thread.

    Also we working on doing Live on Twitch.
