    Have there actually been any threads/interviews/podcasts where a dev talks about Aux2Faw and how it has crept into every aspect of this game almost always rewarding the spacebar hero? Do they care, or even better, should they care?

    you guys give these spacebar warriors too much credit. the vast majority dont build FAW AtB ships that have a baseline DPS high enough to be a danger to anyone around them, especially all the beam scorts i see lately. let them have their fail while we run real builds, maybe they will get a clue

    As a recently "cured" beam-scort abuser, I couldn't agree more. Leave the beams on the cruisers where they belong and can be properly buffed by DEM3 and insane overcap... :D

    I am also puzzled by this FAW crying, I rarely if ever see a good FAW in solo queue, only 3-5 ppl i know can make uberFAW build and are willing to use it, and they do more PvE then PvP.

    I do see many scimiFAWs trying to do DeePS, but most are not willing to go all the way and they put RSP and A2SIF instead of DEM and EPTW.
    FAWscort scare-o-mania? I never see those, or don't notice them at all.

    I use FAW... on tanky ships.
    I use it for it's intended purpose, drawing aggro and crowd control. Most of my FAW ships aren't threats in PVP unless its a 1v1 and you're a bit squishy.
    A lot of people are like this. I've seen FAW scimitars, but they usually sacrifice too much for the damage to kill an entire team and usually can't take a decent alpha.

    I have 3 FAW cruisers, one is a classic 2x AtB FACR, one is (was) 2x FAW Tor'Kaht (no AtB), one is 1x FAW D'Deridex that does more volume in shorter intervals (fits well with battlecloaking). All of them do about the same DPS in PVE which means my captain skill is the gating factor there. The FACR is the most powerful in PVP, probably the deeper hull and higher uptime on defensive abilities. I recently dropped the 2nd FAW from my Tor'Kaht because full uptime is not needed in PVP.

    Yeah, I also slotted beams and faw on that new patrol escort. Felt weird.

    Yet. With only 3 dbbs I was managing to squeak in torps more often than I was with DHC.

    Still felt weird tho.

    I was also critting like a madman on the rear arrays on those runs spamming 6-8k crits at random.

    More overall damage and better opportunities for spike on hull. Go figure. Still felt weird.

    I've been running my hunter beams and torps... and just not using faw. Beams are great just run around work em down... and then run overload. If you slot DBB in front and arrays in back you can rock back and forth on the arc plane and shut your weapons off... means when say your rear arrays are cycling you can load Overload and time it so when you swing back to your forward arc you overload instantly out one of the dbb.

    I feel slightly less dirty not running faw at least... and overload + spread/or bio HY, ends most people or near enough.

    I think the guy is pretty much suming up what a major joke pvp has become. Honestly next to cheesus this is the best I have seen to date:) I think we are all beyond the point of shock value and pretty much white noise out anything these moron devs do to mess up pvp more.
