Ferenginar and Gorn Home worlds.

captyoung01captyoung01 Member Posts: 311 Arc User
I haven't been on the forums for a while, so I am going to apologize if the topic seems like a "Broken Record" to many.

But upon seeing the appearance of Ferenginar and Gorn home worlds in the Undine Assault. . I wonder if Crypitc will eventually add these two worlds on the game map at some point in time. Certainly my own Ferengi Toon would appreciate visiting the Council of Economic Advisors And the Grand Nagus. .

Any comments, thoughts, or opinions on this subject? I would like to hear.

Despite not having a Ferengi character, I would love to be able to visit Ferenginar and see the rivers of muck. I always liked the perpetually rainy ambiance.

They need to add the Ferengi Futures Exchange so players can bet on if an exchange item will go up or down

Yes ferenginar must become visitable, you could have small betting games a la that chicken run in one of the fable games.
Read up or listen to the legends of the ferengi audiobook , it is so rich in content that would fit in nicely in STO!
I know that books aren't canon, but this one is, it is even narrated by quark himself ( armin shimmerman) in character.

Many of you may disagree but the ferengi are a important factor in Star Trek , not so much in tng but they flourished in ds9!
They are actually the first aliens to arrive at earth before the vulcans ;)

And on a side note please fix the ferengi shuttle interior, it has the fed shuttle interior and looks nothing at all the actual ferengi shuttle looks like.

You wouldn't, since Grand Nagus Rom didn't rescind former Grand Nagus Zek's rescinding of the "no clothes on females" rules. Ferengi women do wear clothes now that Rom and Quark's moogie led the way.

    Get with the times already!

Ferengi women can wear clothes now, one of Grand Nagus Rom's cultural reforms.

hardly a reform, more like a way of making more profit.
Pockets = Profit, here is a quote from wiki :

"By the late 24th century, females made up 53.5% of the Ferengi population and some Ferengi began to realize that exclusion of females from business represented a significant loss of profit opportunities. A movement, led by Ishka, Quark's mother, and Zek, aimed at reforming cultural traditions that had excluded women was started in latter half of the 24th century, starting by giving females the right to wear clothing. The idea was that giving females the right to wear clothing allows them to have pockets. Once they have pockets, they were going to want to fill them with latinum, which means they were going to need jobs. Once they start earning latinum they were going to want to spend it, which meant Ferenginar would expand its workforce and consumer base at the same time. Initial progress toward this goal seemed less than promising, but by 2375 with the ascension of the progressive Rom to the position of Grand Nagus the likelihood of further reforms seemed inevitable. (DS9: "Profit and Lace", "The Dogs of War")"

    It was a business reform.

Reform or profit, either way it means we don't have to explain a planet full of naked (and hideously ugly) Ferengi women.

True, they might scare off the tourists, so reducing profit too.

I have done my best at researching relevant items from the Rules of aquisition, but female Ferengi are rarely mentioned (don't mention a Ferengi's mother..)

rule number 40 : "She can touch your lobes but never your latinum."
rule number 229 : "Latinum lasts longer than lust."
    rule number 255 : "A wife is [a] luxury... a smart accountant a necessity."

all in all, an upstanding respectable Ferengi would ask one question about Female Ferengi Pockets (clothes) : rule number 29 "What's in it for me?"
    :P
