Where the Secondary Deflectors At?

What's going on with the Secondary Deflectors? It's been a while since the anniversary and an expansion has come out but they're still not here. Are they waiting for 9.5 or something?

    Secondary deflectors are weak and Cryptic nerfed what could have been an awesome thing for Sci-ships, so who cares where they are.
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    With the sheer number of them that would exist, Cryptic said that they would not be available at the launch of S9 but would come at some point during S9...

    Which could mean during S9, could mean Expansion 2, could mean S10...they'll get here when they get there - we'll see the blog making the announcement, etc, etc, etc.

    it'll be out when its ready..... most likely in 9.5 as they usually unload new mechanics in major updates, and 9.5 is the next one.


    you know, its odd, this thread pops up every couple days, do people not know how to use search? This makes the 3rd thread i've posted in on the subject in the last couple days.

    Waiting for these myself.. However I do recall the Devs saying something to the point of 9.5.. Cant wait, will boost my grav wells even further on my time ship or (if I can find one appropriate) my photonic fleet.. My vesta will also benefit though she has been vastly ver shadowed.. Gotta say my dyson destroyer even though much new than those 2 keeps up to a fair degree (in sci mode) simply because of the 2nd deflector, nerf you say? I dont see it.

    if your referring to the post earlier about Secondary Deflectors being weak, i think he's implying that when they were originally announced, everyone assumed they would just be a slot where you can slot a second deflector, then it was announced it would be a totally new item and the stats just werent upto that guys liking, so he says "nerf".

    Well, to put it into calendar perspective: Flanking was introduced during the Winter Event. Secondary Deflectors were introduced with the Dyson ships in February. Since the KDF finally got the flanking feature introduced to them with season 9, then I suspect there is still anyway from 2-3 weeks left of this post until Secondary Deflectors makes it to the game.
    Member since November 2009... I think.

    They're trying to figure out how many OP C-store and lockbox Secondary Deflectors the market will bear so they can add twice that many. ;)

    They said Season 9, which is on right now and will be on till expansion 2. So I'd say anywhere between now and expansion 2.
