Today I had a clear view of the final planet killer while I was sitting on top of it trying to max out my DPS. What I saw was a cluster of torpedos and mines just bumping along on top of a visible wall above the OPEN maw, unable to reach the target. Likewise I noticed that my 6 fighters did not fire a single shot at it.
I think there is a big bug on target visiblity for pet devices. It's really dragging out those battles (and would really suck for a torp boat).
Possibly related was how rarely my spinal phaser lance could actually target it, even when all the other weapons were firing away.
The other bug I've seen pop up 1 of 3 tries roughly is that the supposed escaping planet killer never spawns, giving an unattainable optional, and further reducing rewards on a loooong mission.
I use the mark 10 shuttles and they had no problems, but then they are beam based, and my peregrins seem a waste in there, and heaven help some poor KDF with BoPs.
I have also seen the non-spawning planet killer bug. Hopefully they can look at it soon.
My scorpion fighters are only efficient if I keep micromanaging them (bringing them back up with defensive mode, then ordering them to attack.... rinse and repeat), otherwise they get stuck and do nothing. And my targetable torpedoes will take a lot of time circling around the planet killer before they go off.
Got the planet killer from the optional to show up only once since the last patch arrived. All the other times it wasn't there.
