the most powerful sips u will get will more than likly be maranda class IF that... but thet carrier would have 2 be massive because of the size of the maranda class...

The Atrox needs their own Frigates first. The Atrox Carrier and Obelisk Carrier are the only carriers that don't have their own frigate that is available through some method. The Dreadnought Carrier requires people to obtain the JHAS to use JHAS pets and the other carriers are a simple unlock.

Wait till next winter, we will be getting a Breen carrier to use with our Plesh brek frigates.

I vote for the aquarius destroyer as the fed frigate...just makes sense
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

Hangars are equiped with high capacity replicators that can replicqate an entire small craft on an as needed basis. As such if one crashes, just launch the next one as soon as the replicaiton cycle is complete.

I wouldn't mind seeing an actual Starfleet designed carrier with 4 hangers.

Launch a bunch of Peregrines or some other new Starfleet design and watch the fun begin.

The Defiant in the game is a cruiser-level mob, compared to the frigate-level B'rel and Fer'jai pets launched by the Vo'quv and Kar'fi. It would be kind of overpowered unless it had a long cooldown.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

eh, the klingons get BoP pets lol, but if a defiant bothers people too much, just make it saber pets, cryptic could even take advantage and make a T5 saber-class in the process and use the skin as the elite version of the pet, keeping the T2 zen store version as the advanced one.

yeah, i'm just saying cryptic could take advantage of the idea of making a fed carrier with saber pets and give the saber the tempest treatment.

That is the whole fun of the layout. Players will be limited to using Tactical Team and Attack Patterns. Also Cryptic would hopefully add some more Bridge Officer abilities.

LOL! Just LOL! The game can barely handle 2 hangared Carriers before stuff starts disappearing on the screen, let alone 4 full hangars worth of fighters and such, along with their spam.

you would be better off spamming shi'khar/miranda/centaur t1 ships as base frigates, the advanced version moves up to the saber spam and the elite version, maybe something like the saber retrofit. all of it readjusted to work as pets.

defiant pets with quad cannons is a big no no, considering how utterly destructive a defiant is in player hands.. just no, because :D.

if u wanna get technically while NOT a true carrier or i would guess maybe sorta a flight deck cruiser but as a warbird the Ar'Kif can't launch frigets the same as the gal-x dreadnaught acctually would the Ar'Kif even be considered as a flight deck cruiserish warbird or would it be like the gal-x and vesta? god this is confuseing sometimes lol. but all in all the feds AT least have the Atrox the romulans have no real carrier minus the wanna-bes like the scim and the Ar'Kif.

Unlikely, since the Breen NPC carrier spawns fighters, and the Plesh Brek are very large.

A 2 hanger Fed carrier that LOOKS like a Fed ship

2 defiant frigate class pets per hanger no stronger that the bop class pets
    2 hangers /4 pets total

give the ship a tactical lean not science or tank and not universal

But before any new ship is created KDF ships need some retrofitting and a few new designs need to swell there ranks

KDF and romulans need stand up fighting ships...way too many cloaked ships in the game already
on case you havent noticed cryptic
    Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
    Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

^I've always interpreted the Ar'kif as being akin to the Armitage, a large escort with a fighter bay in other words.

I've never heard that before, but perhaps maybe they could do that with say fighters, non warp capable ships...but I don't see that working for frigate pets.

but the ar'kif is the romulan version of the armitage, well except for the fact, like everything romulan, its better(fleet version with 5 tac consoles lol plus battlecloak).

A while ago I made up two designs for a Federation Carrier.

    Vega-class 1, 2

    Albion-Class Carrier

But for something to hold Frigate-class starships, I guess I have to design something larger or as-large as the Odyssey.

The Jupiter would be a good ship to use for a true carrier... its that big monster sitting at Battle Group Omega ... now THAT would be an interesting carrier to play with....
