Was wondering if there has ever been and discussion on making ship parts that change the look of a ship act as unlocks rather than direct modifier themselves? As an example after purchasing the adapted maco shields. I would get a costume unlock, that I could apply at the customizer regardless of what shields I had in the slot.

    Not enough people care and cryptic has maybe, possibly referenced that it can't be done for some unknown reason.

    I've been wanting it for a long time now...

    Aww I would have thought it could work like when you’re just a normal toon. Might be one of those it could work but they would have to rework a lot of things first. It would be nice though there are a lot of nice visuals tied to equipment that seems to go to waste because the stats on the part itself are not very good so you just never see them in use.

    Maybe with what looks like a renew emphasis on art in sto it’s something that will be looked into.
