Come on Cryptic, how about a Steam Starter Pack discount?
The 3 and 9 packs are all included in the sale, according to the C-Store itself.
I don't think they control sales for the Steam Starter Pack as it's sold exclusively through Steam.
Shame there's nothing I fancy.
I won't ever buy the Steam Starter Pack at full price, especially since I've got Euro prices (22,99) but at a discount I'd gladly buy it, as I like the ship design.
However, there hasn't been a single discount on this pack for over a year now.
unless they do major changes, like adding weapon slots/boff changes, you wont have to, the Patrol Escort of any type was never in the C-stoire before.... you only have to worry about fleet ships when it comes to that, C-Store ships will never have to be re-bought.
yeah, not even the players that spent 2000 zen on fleet modules to get the Fleet Patrol Escort. It will cost those players already with the Fleet Patrol Escort a total 4,500 zen in order to get the new upgrade. Whereas players coming in new to the ship will only pay 3,000 zen. Having the Fleet Patrol Escort unfortunately doesn't even make that character eligible for the fleet module discount on the Fleet Patrol Escort Refit. That said, the ship sale is truly a nice gesture.

That's how it's always been - every ship except the new shiny gets discounted. It's happened to the Avenger, the Mogh, the DSDs and now the PER
The newest shiny is never discounted during ship sales... for obvious reasons. Not that I would mind if this changed, but, I wouldn't hold my breath. :rolleyes:
Boy, am I tired to reading this crud. You bought ship A previously. They retired ship A today; new purchases are now longer allowed, but you get to keep yours.
You paid for Ship A and get to keep Ship A.
Why does it matter that Ship B is now released?
Answer: It doesn't matter at all. You are completely unaffected by this change.
If you want to purchase Ship B, go ahead and do it. But don't complain that it's different (which you did), or complain that you should get the second ship for free (which other have done, but in fairness you have not done).
You got what you paid for and still have it, and you "deserve" nothing free/nothing more.

And as someone who's bought it I can tell you, you're not missing much. It's an ok ship, but you can do much better.

Actually I am not expecting it for free. Instead I was hoping the precedent established by the original fleet ship roll out would hold over here and I would be given the option to purchase the new Fleet version for either (1) module and trading in my current FPE (I paid 4 modules for) or be able to get the fleet version for free by purchasing the Cstore version.
How many purchases need to be made irrelevant until people become upset? From respec tokens and no official refund policy to the current FPE it is disheartening.
