new fed ship

the feds are always crying for a raider I think they just got one all its really missing is cloak.

5 tac consoles
rear mounted 90d arc aft Dual cannon
and a rather nice assortment of Boffs 1 Commander Tactical, 1 Lieutenant Commander Engineering, 1 Lieutenant Science, 1 Lieutenant Commander Universal

and that isn't even the fleet version which is better and available at a T1 ship yard instead of T5 or T4 like ours,

they give us a flanking bonus and what happenes? feds get aft cannons

    Ohhh... suddenly it all makes sense. I just couldn't figure out what the point of the aft cannons was supposed to be. Well spotted.

    I dont care about the new ship per se, what pissed me off is the kdf still gets shafted and cant get a new unique ship. Goes to show the devs really do TRIBBLE on the KDF.
    I use to do 100K DPS, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

    yeah I don't really care that they got a new ship so much as that we didn't get one also. im all for the factions being different so I don't even want the usual clone they pass out give us something different. instead of nothing like normal.

    All I will say is this.

    The fused Aft cannon remind me of Astroboy when he had machinguns hidden in his butt.

    Besides, give it a few months or a year and the KDF will get their version of Spaceship Astroboy.

    Doesn't really bother me because PvP has gone well beyond a joke in STO, unfortunatley.

    I wouldn't jump to call this a raider. It's just the next level of escort, power creep and all. These Boff layouts are probably the next flavor mix for ships. But that's pretty much what it is, a pumped up escort.
    I don't care, let Feds. have their fun in the new Tempest - it seems like a fun ship ready to have a blast in.
    They still have no Guramba! :D :P Now about that fleet version, Cryptic....

    While that is a really strong sounding ship.... its not a raider at all. I would call it a destroyer^^ But since its called escort.. its obviously an escort.

    However, no flanking, not a major universal setup, no raider.

    But given that it has an universal LC, can we finally get the long deserved universal LC on the Kumari now?^^

    I will only be silenced by a Fleet Hegh'ta.
    But I don't really get the problem with the Fleet Guramba... after all... slap another console slot on it, add the 10%, done. Why didn't that happen already, its not that hard...

    So what, the feds got a new ship? It is not a surprise and we should not be upset over it. It is well known they will always milk that cow before the others.

    Do not blaim the Devs as many actually are fans of the KDF but have their hands tied on how much attention they can give us.

    Keep up the pressure for new KDF stuff and fixes to our bugs because they will not be able to show the penny pinchers that they need to give us more if we do not show our need.

    As Kahless would say, "Be thankful we have powerful foes to fight as only through hard combat do we refine our spirits into honorable klingon warriors."

    Just wait the KDF will get a ship. My guess is it may follow the Avenger/Mogh strategy. They give the feds their ship with a zen store version with special console. To sell abunch. Then 2 weeks later you get the same ship reskinned with a cloak for klingons and maybe even romulans. That way cryptic makes 2x the Money. Most ppl have Feds and klingons both on their account and If I was gonna buy a ship I would buy the ship that had the cloak. So they bring out the fed ship with no mention of the klingon ship. So ppl will buy it first. Then after sells (cause most ppl will buy it in the first week). They release the klingon version with a cloak. Sneaky little buggers them cryptites, sneaky indeed.

    I hope its not a reskin job. A fleet Garumba or Kvort would be awesome. Or maybe a non-klingon ship.
