Since S9 launched, I have noticed that I cannot double tap Shift+R anymore for quick bursts of speed to get into position. I either have to Shift+R then wait 2-3 seconds, then turn it off, or I have to choose to go normal impulse(which I do in many situations now). Please undo whatever you did to the game now, thanks.
I have noticed this too. I can't remember if it was like that before S9 and the way I hit full impulse should be even more accurate than shift+R. I have full impulse toggle set to a bind on my mouse. I have noticed if I want to use it for just a second I can't and overshoot my targets and/or kill my weapon power. The more I think about now I don't remember this before S9.
Of course all the cooldowns in this game seem messed up. I find myself having to spam the heck out of some abilities over and over again and always seems to be the OOOHH $^#$ buttons.

The cooldown bug was present before S9. Also weapons going in cooldown without firing, as well prior to S9. As well as other some strange behaviours of projectiles and weapons losing their targets.
The only bug new since S9 is the full impulse bug. So, now we have a lot of bugs when we fight in space. Sometimes it is just ridiculous.
I experiment, first the full impulse bug. Then, i use my torps, using torp spread. The skill goes into cooldown and i dont see any torp spread anywhere. Then i fire torps, the torps make bounce on my target and they go away like if there is a shield barrier in front of me . Then, i am confused and i dont know what to do anymore lol, so i use evasive manouvers to get away and to think in wats going on. When i approach my target again, i forget about the full impusle bug and when i realized i am in top of my target (this was using the bortasqu and everyone knows that the bortasqu has a really huge inertia rating) again. In the end, the experience is so frustrating that when all of this happens (of course not all the time, just sometimes, with the exception of the full impulse bug) i dont enjoy the game at all. If this is the sensation that cryptic wants to transmit, well they are really in the right path.
I really dont care having more than 1 posts about this, since i need to think, the more we have, the more possibilities we have cryptic can see it. Of course they are aware of all these bugs, but its the same story as always.

I use to think I was losing my mind, "why did just a single torp fire and I still lose my Spread buff?" Other times instead of the usual 5 just 2 come out but that may be because the weapon arc just went of range of the target.

Yeah, I have problems dropping out of full impulse starting in season 9.
Many times I have overshot my target. I force dropping out of full impulse by firing at my intended target as I am racing past it. Of course this means my beam weapons do not do much damage, but I least I drop out of full impulse before I am too far away.
You can't hold the Turbo down, it's for Quick boosts

Anyhoo, yes. I have had this bug as well but only in the Undine BZ. I find firing my weapons get me out of full impulse but it's less than ideal. As cool as it looks to come out of nowhere and fire my guns with no juice they don't make a scratch.

As i said, the problem is when you are piloting a ship with a high inertia impulse. The Bortasqu is a clear example. By the ime the full impulse effect is off, you are 5 km away from your target in the opposite direction.. xDDD so you cant use your front weapons anymore :P. With other ships, you can do that and still you will be about 5km from your target and you can use your front weapons and turn around. With the Bortaqu and other high inertia ships, you cant. And its very frustrating. Really.
Think so, or with the amount of bugs at the mo maybe im playing star ship troopers.
But since 9, shields weapons no visuals, engines have a mind of their own, away team gets switched, ships kit ends up back in inventory, tray keeps changing and more,,,,,,just hope they sort things out soon,,
The only bug new since S9 is the full impulse bug.
It's not just full impulse. It's all commands in general. They seem to ignore commands occasionally (usually right when you'd want them not to be ignored ) It seems to happen more often with clickies, but it still happens when using keyboard commands, as the full impulse thing shows.

yes and got no response, so I thought I would put it where more people see it. Thanks
I thought WoW's forums had angry elitist snobs, but I never could have imagined the level STO forums has.
it wasn't like this pre S9

Lol......:)
I have this bug and mistook it for a hardware problem at first as well. Now I know!
