Defera Adventure zone rep yields too low

Hi everyone, i hope the devs read this because i have to say this is my only major complaint about the game so far.

The rep point rewards for the Defera adventure zone is waaaaay too small, 5-7 point rewards for tasks that are way more tedious and time consumer and difficult than New Romulus or Nukara tasks at the same difficulty level. Please increase the yields to at least 10-15 points per quest like on NR or Nukura.

Other than that, please change the hard quest intances for solo players to access these challenges with AI squad mates, those are my only suggestions.

I'm glad someone else has picked up on this! When I first learned about the Defera Invasion Zone I assumed it was meant to be a ground adventure zone for earning Omega Marks. Clearly not! :-/ It's more like a ground adventure zone for earning Fleet Marks if you ask me.

Personally I doubt I will ever go back there again!

No thank you. Deferi is still one of the few decent ways left to get large amounts of FMs in a reasonable amount of time compared to other ways. They took away FMs away for months after rep originally came out, and eventually returned them. Point being if they increased the Omega marks you got, they would probably reduce the FMs you got.

There's other good ways of getting Omega Marks if you really want them. Even doing other ground content. That said, I do agree some of the tasks are unnecessarily tedious.

Now certain missions are meant to be done by a certain number of people:

Easy missions can be done solo
Medium missions are meant for 2-3 people, but you can potentially do them solo if you are good enough.
Hard missions are meant to be done by a minimum of 3 people (the game won't let you otherwise).

I would never want to do the hard missions solo. Because aside from having dumb BOFFs run around like morons most of the time, doing Deferi hard runs is meant to generate big amounts of FMs for a fleet, like if you have a big upgrade. Those particular missions simply are not designed for one person, at all. Now I'm sure some folks out there are good enough to solo it, or maybe some might be trying to solo a fleet or something, but no matter the reason, they would still be a very small group who would want it solo.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Defera was intended for FMs. The Omega rep is just a bonus. Fine as is.

If that's true then Cryptic needs to create a new adventure zone, or create an option that let's you choose rep or FM points as a reward option, because Omega REP players are seriously getting jipped and unfairly squandered compared to the Nukara or NR or DS players.

You can run the Borg STFs for truckloads of omega marks

Actually WAAAY back in the day, when the zone was originally introduced, it actually wasn't. Heck, the Deferi zone is so old that it is technically level 40 content, as that is what it was designed around.

Originally the purpose was to give a bit of secondary crafting to get the, one could argue, 'top prize' of it: The Fractal Remodulator. Gathering those mats to make em was the main draw for the most part.

Skip ahead to season 6 when the SB system was released. I remember making more than my fair share of threads and posts damn nearly begging them to add FMs to Deferi, as even by then it was pretty much a wasteland after the STF revamp started giving us instant remodulators with our still rather new ground sets.

Once the rep system was released, FMs were removed from it for a time, and heck, poor Nukara eventually got ALL it's FMs removed (and never returned) thanks to LoR. Deferi eventually had it's FM rewards returned though, and it has stayed mostly the same since.

History lesson aside, a reward choice isn't a bad thing IMO to do. Let people decide either FMs, or rep marks. Same can go for other battle zone type things, like Nukara, the Dyson sphere, etc.

Another thread was made that had a great idea to solve this issue, make all the adventure zones offer high yields of marks but offer a choice of whether we wanted fleet marks or rep marks as the mission reward like what is used in some STFs e.g. the Azure nebula STF that offers either Nukara or NR marks. Alternatively create a new option for the reputation system that allows you to convert surplus rep marks into fleet marks similar to trading them in for Dilithium, and then make all the zones exclusively Rep marks but effectively make it so any Rep mark could be converted into fleet marks ensuring that people who only want fleet marks can use the adventure zones as a viable means of mark farming.
