So, Flanking is based on what? The instant in which a weapon hits?
Since I've critically flanked myself by throwing a HY torpedo, turning, and then getting caught in the AOE flash, I think the Flank bonus is based on the facing that is towards the weapon at the time the ship gets hit.
So... when it comes to KDF Raiders of the non-Torpedo variety, is it more valuable to run DBBs instead of DHCs due to the travel time on the Cannon strikes? At least you KNOW you'll flank when you're flanking with DBBs. You just don't know what happens with DHCs.
I've been doing alright with DHCs. IDK if I'm going to keep my build after I get a few tiers of undine rep. I plan on having 2 dhc, 1 dbb, and the enhanced bio torpedo with THY.
Since you have all universal stations, you could go old fashioned and use a tractor beam. The tractorbeam mines are nice too.

Or is the DHC setup inherently better?
Just a thought.
I think everything is calculated to-hit when it is fired *EXCEPT* destructible torpedoes, and for those its calculated on impact.

I only really notice on the torpedos... so I'll test out a pure DHC/Turret set in Beta Thoridar, I guess.
Well, maybe the Undine in "Assimilated" would be good targets for a test. The Borg cubes just are too terrible to live on Normal difficulty, and I don't want to test on Elite.
Okay. I'm running almost all DHCs on my Norgh... I think I was flanking a Dromias Bio-Cruiser when it turned sideways (because my AP DHCs were fired while I was on its Aft quarter)... it couldn't have been my 360 AP beam due to the number of hits.
I guess I'll go back to a DBB/DHC mix with my Hoh'sus and see how it does on "Assimilation". I have almost everything in Purple Mk XI kit modules except for Medical Tricorder & Exothermic Induction, but I have decent ones for those.
The only thing is the Undine space. A lot of it dies before my DHC shots travel to hit whatever I'm trying to shoot. The Undine are so worthless except for the snot bubbles. And Undine Space battleground guy is such a dudebro. :P
