Good science and engineering consoles for an escort?

I'm setting up a Mirror Universe Patrol Escort at the moment. So far, it's got Dual Disruptor Cannons (I had a few of them on my hands already) with Disruptor induction coils. It also has the Omega kit on it.

So, what consoles should I put in science and engineering?

(If you're going to comment on the other portions of my build, at least be constructive)

Those are good places for your universal consoles from rep, plamsa leech, and similar items. You might consider fleet neutroniums if you want to toughen up a little more.

If you don't have anything, used dropped neutroniums in engineering and dyson shield healing junkers (the free ones from your daily rep crates) in science until you can get the better items. If you get really lucky (or buy one later) dyson has the shield cap / shield heal.

The new 8472 Counter Command console is nice... it adds accuracy, power levels to engine and shields. Tachyokinetic console also is nice...

Depends on your build... what do you have in mind?

I guess I'm just looking mostly for DPS. I do like the sounds of that 8472 console.

Thanks Noroblad. I'm probably going to use those for now (down to 400k EC).

You'll want a embassy flow capacitor in science consoles. -Threat is necessary, otherwise you'll have to put in too much to survive that it'll start to compromise dps, both fit and piloting wise. Catching no aggro means parking at point blank cycling csv. The flow capacitor helps buff the plasmonic leech. And the extra dmg is always useful.

For eng, it's either rcs with +resist all, or neut with +turn, depending on your preference.

Odd universal consoles for the purpose of merely adding crit go in excess science/eng slots after the basics are covered, never in tac slot, and never replacing something important, like embassy console, plasmonic leech, or borg 2 piece bonus.

Those are nice(the embassy consoles) but I wouldnt call it necessary, with cruisers now packing auras and pumping out more damage than ever before even in a pug stf an escort shouldnt catch too much agro for too long, on the note of durability consoles 1 neutronium and 1 field gen should be all that patrol escort needs, fill the rest with universals for whatever buffs/sets go best with your primary weapons(the omega 2p and romulan 2p go well with plasma for PVE, the dyson and 8472 weapon sets look nice as well)

I like to fill the engineering consoles with neutronium alloys and use the science consoles for universals. The assimilated console is worth slotting on any escort, even if you don't use any other borg pieces at all.

The basic engineering / science consoles I would use are Neutronium alloy plating and the field generator.

I also use the Tetraburnium plating to protect my ship from 4 different types of energy weapons. I the version which is resistant to antiproton weapons (the primary reason why I picked it), I believe it also has plasma resistance as well. But I would choose Neutronium alloy 1st because it is resistant to kinetic and all energy weapons.

IMHO -Threat isn't really necessary as Escorts have enough minimal tools to survive (even with the 2 piece Borg set nerf) and there's enough aggro going around. Just learn to position yourself well. :)

I would recommend this list and mix and match as needed

1x or 2x Neutronium Alloys (higher grade the better)
    Assimilated Module
    Zero Point Energy Conduit
    Tachyokinetic Converter
    Plasmonic Leech

The new Undine consoles are also worth looking at as well and offer some nifty bonuses.
