BoP Parts for costumes

i always thought that cryptic somehow looses a major coolness point by not making all BoP parts of all tiers interchangeable for any bop class ship.

i think this would be a nice addition as customization option.

its a pity that if i buy a ngorgh fleet bop, that so many cool parts of wings for example get lost, while they would be perfect fit for my ship since all bop are nearly same size but i only have one (or 2 max) costume variants available.

especially the xwing like wings (sry i cant remember all those klingon class names ^^) are somehow designed kind of without love. those small feathery plates are just misplaces compared to original brel ones and that on the classic ngorgh or all other kdf ships.

i think, making all (or lets say MORE) BoP Parts interchangeable with all tier costumes would fit this very special kind of shipclass of the kdf.

I can see the appeal of this idea.

the lack of costumes for any klingon ship makes it so like classed ships should be able to skin after eachother. build a Brel with Hegh'ta wings, norgh body, and hoh'sus nose. although i doubt they'd do this for a number of reasons.

1. there'd be no way to tell any klingon BOP from another
2. not all of the parts would be able to match up for one reason or another
3. customization like this wont give them money.

each of the BOPs are different sizes with different hard-point placements, so its not possible unless they make all the parts in all sizes

The issue with this I believe is the difference of sizes between the miscellaneous BoPs. For ex., compare the B'rel to a Hegh'ta - the entire B'rel would probably fit under one Hegh'ta wing.
Then comes the issue with the ship models and parts themselves, while they're all BoPs and share a similar general design - the ship models between different classes can get quite different, so many parts would probably not fit properly.

I can't really see this happening unless they somehow code the ship parts to be scallable so when you use a certain part on a certain hull, the part will scale to the hull level in order to fit. But this is a long shot.
And there's still the issue with not being able to tell the BoPs apart, a thing they (Cryptic) probably doesn't want to see hapening if their reply on the demands for the Galaxy-X to be able to lose the 3-rd nacelle and look just like the Galaxy-R is any indicatior.

That said, some BoPs seem to be able to fit parts between them, at least to the untrained eye. For example, it seems to me that the Hegh'ta & Ki'tang could mix parts as well as the Ning'tao and Qaw'Dun. I could be terribly wrong on this, though.
