D'Dredar Class Battlecruiser.....

Will we ever see this in game? Apparently it's non-canon since it's on Memory Beta, but it was in the game Star Trek: Birth of the Federation. It is a tank, but the article says it was also one of the fastest vessels in the romulan fleet. Link Below

    They'd have to get the rights from whoever owns the design, and I doubt they'd bother to do that when they can just design their own ships.

    It comes from another game, so the answer is "Never". Due to licensing issues, you will NEVER see a non-canon product from another game. Just getting the Besta into the game was apparently a major headache that they're not eager to repeat, and that wasn't from another game.

    I'd be happy with a d7 from TOS that got adjusted for Rommies. Truth is current Rommy ships are alpha strike TRIBBLE or OP scimitar nonsense. It would be nice to have something else to fly as a Rommie. That must explain why I have been primarily on my klink toons lately, just getting bored with 10 of 12 ships all doing the same thing. :rolleyes:

    I remember playing Birth of the Federation. I loved playing as the Romulans for their free decloak-attack gamebreaker advantage. I only ever built the D'dexes and scouts in my fleet. The rest of the warbird designs done by the developers were utter TRIBBLE and the D'dredar was the worst.

    Unfortunately most ships from other games are owned by Activision, and aren't likely to ever be available for STO. This makes me sad because the Armada Romulan ships are some of the best looking non-Canon Romulan ships out there.
