Is there a maximum number of pvp instances that can be played at one time? I noticed a cap and hold with 16 people in it wouldn't pop until the current cap and hold my friends on team speak were in ended. The moment they warped out i got a pop. Is this why you can see 30+ people in the queues and no pop?
You mean the Devs should shift some server capacity for more PvP????

If you go into a bar that says 100 person capacity that has only one glass and stool, u sue them for false advert.
Does this mean that 2 people testing builds could potentially hold up 20+ people in the queues because they are in a private match? I mean, I'd really like to get an answer from cryptic on this one.
If you notice the pvp window says "participants". That number you see includes all in progress matches soooooo if enough aren't queued to start another game it won't pop.

in that case the numbers wouldn't drop when a new one starts ^^...
i already had the same impression as the op, but on the other hand sometimes u get in and zonechat is full of chat from that parallel match ...
so yeah, seems like it's related to how much matches are on by that point. i wouldn't expect cyptic to tell us details.

The number drops when an in progress one ends not when a new one starts. This is easier to see in the ground queue when there are usually only 1-2 matches in progress at once. If one assault is going the participant list empties when the match ends.

Just give up on pvp, sto is for crappy ai pve. pvp is dead. The need to get rid of the whole, match makeing system all together. Its ****ty and there is a much easyer way to do pvp. Simply let us attack other players when we want even in sector space. Sure we could have some faction restrictions on it but hey it would work much better that waiting for an hour to get 1 pvp match in. I litterly sat and waited just before this for 30 mins for a 1v1 and nothing. So while sitting their i got pissed, started thinking i could litterly fly sector to sector from romulas to sol and just kill them all if only the game mechanics let me.... hate to say it but battle star galactica pvp is way better than sto. Game may suck but the pvp system is a hell of alot better.
