4/25 maint broke the launcher

Can't log in.. "Error 36 A file is locked that could not be open for writing.

Can't log in... broken, can't play

    it works for me, but the launcher had to update, perhaps that's what is blocking you?

    a classic problem is where you put the launcher, and what OS you use; if it's windows, try hitting 'run as administrator'

    what happens is later versions of windows code the '.exe' file as secure, meaning you need security access to change it, which some of these patches do :)

    This. It's why I set my launcher to run as administrator. Besides no one else uses my computer so no harm in that. I once tried to patch Final Fantasy XI Online without admin permission and it locked up and crashed. Hopefully that will fix it for you. Never had issues with STO at all since it runs as admin.
