I do love the new list of ships docked at ESD and the holographic ones in orbit of Earth. I got all the ones in orbit of Earth except for the two runabouts closest to the holo Earth.
Heres what I got:
USS Quirinal
NCC-82610

USS Sphinx
NCC-xx168
Chimera Class
USS Freeman Dyson
NCC-72411
Nova Class
USS xxxta
NCC-

USS xxle
NCC-
Sao Paulo Class
USS Icarus
NCC-74xxx

USS
NCC-
Avenger Class
USS
NCC-
Regent Class
USS Hermes?
NCC-26xxx
Miranda Class
USS Hippocrates
NCC-

USS Pathfinder
NCC-74562B
Bellerophon Class
USS Ballista
NCC-52508
Steamrunner Class
USS Al-Batani
NCC-42995
Excelsior Class
USS
NCC-
Gladius Class
Notes: USS Quirinal was from the Voyager relaunch books, USS Freeman Dyson is from Decipher RPG books, USS Pathfinder was a nice nod to the Pathfinder from the Telepath War arc from the comics, the USS Al-Batani was Janeway's assignment under Paris' father, and the USS Ballsta is a nice nod to Armada II.
The Khyzon and the VS Soval was in the ships orbiting Earth holographic. Which had the USS Geronimo, a nice nod to both the Bridge Commander game and the LUG Trek RPG and the Pasteur, a nice nod to All Good Times and the Path to 2409.
Heres what I got:
USS Quirinal
NCC-82610
Vesta Class
Hrmmm...shouldn't that be NCC-82610-B?
In September 2381, the Quirinal, along with the Curie, Esquiline and Hawking, became partially embedded in a fragment of the Omega Continuum. The crew on the normal-space side of the fracture were beamed to safety aboard the Achilles and returned to the Alpha Quadrant. Those crew on the Omega Continuum side of the vessel, under the command of Ensign Sadie Johns, destroyed the ship and themselves in the hopes of restoring space to its normal state. (VOY novel: The Eternal Tide)
How come the USS Hermes is a Miranda-class instead of, you know, a Hermes-class?
I am NikkoJT, Foundry author and terrible player. Follow me!
There used to be a picture here, but they changed signatures and I can't be bothered to replace it.
Thomas made these up for me once I gave him a format to fit them into. Though I don't think I used all of the ones on the Holo Table set.
All of the ships actually shown on the Holo table should be represented in their relative positions on the Sol System map as well.
Someone hasn't been paying attention. Those were changed out weeks ago.
That's Awesome, thank you.
In the Holo table, even more goodness that i see. We have a USS Hawkwing and USS Manticore, nice Honor Harrington nod, the USS Saladin, someone have read the Tales of the Dominion War anthology, the USS Repulse (Excelsior), the Esquiline from Voyager relaunch books, the new Yamato Galaxy X, the Europa that makes four Titan Series Lunas to make the game, the Ahwahnee a survivor of Wolf 359, the Berkelely another nod from Bridge Commander, the CDS Atrox CRS-2161, and the USS Tahoe a nice nod to the Perpetual Ship Tahoe.
The Trek ship geekiness itch has been very scratched. I love it.
Since the Voyager books follow the Destiny Timeline, the Quirinal and the Esquiline can be very much in service.
I asked Thomas on twitter about the names a few weeks ago, while some are references, some he just took from memory-beta wiki to fill in names , they were not named for any specific reason.
STO is not in the same timeline as the novels, while some ships and NPCs may be from the novels, they have not had the same experiences. That is why the Borg still exist in STO.
I believe the STO novel "Needs of the Many" explains it.

You forgot that that player ship is also still here.
U.S.S. Sovereign, NCC-73811. The fricking prototype. The one which you used to blow up Matan despite a certain moron called Commander Larsen.
Of course, it confuses me why the generic sovereigns have a much different registry.
USS Canada
N.C.C. 171867
Sovereign Class
Saint John Fleet Yard
"A Mari Usque Ad Mare"
The U.S.S. Geronimo is also a nice wink to the Eleventh Doctor
Nah it isn't, it is a reference the the ship of the same name from the Armada games and Bridge Commander, which came before 11th Doctor. Same registry and everything
Hey wait a minute... ... tacofangs, can you ask where did the name for the Chimera class on the holo table come from? Thats what i named my chimera when i first got it on my main.
Edit: Nevermind, went back to look at registry and it is different. Funny though that they have the same name.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Dr. Miranda Jones: I understand, Mr. Spock. The glory of creation is in its infinite diversity.
Mr. Spock: And the ways our differences combine, to create meaning and beauty.

Er, Freeman Dyson is a theoretical physicist. In reality.

Shouldn't there be a Charal amd D'Kyr in there somewhere too?
My character Tsin'xing
(UFP) Ragnar
It's sporting the Intrepid-class nacelles instead.

oh, we got an official name for the Risan corvette, the Wake Rider Class

Well there is an Admiral Kim on Chirion II, maybe he moved on.
You forgot that that player ship is also still here.

The Sovereign has 3 different registries depending on the source.
Who ever put the registry on the generic one probably did not use Bridge Commander as their source
http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/USS_Sovereign
Or it could be a Nod to the actual Geronimo

Thank you so much for providing those charts!

CDS ATROX....no fair I want my Atrox to have a CDS designation too!
Yet, if you put Manticore, Nike, and Hawkwing together, a very nice Honor Harrington nod.
Yeah I second this being a nod to the actual man.

Mr. Spock: And the ways our differences combine, to create meaning and beauty.
-Star Trek: Is There in Truth No Beauty? (1968)
The ship, the registry, and the class are a nod to the Bridge Commander game.
