I guess Starfleet/Klingon/Romulan captains running around in swimwear made less sense than Starfleet/Klingon/Romulan captains flying around in Undine ships. :P
Seriously though, if you're going to make a game where you throw sense out the window for the sake of giving players options... don't then turn around and restrict our options because of what makes sense.
I mean, that just makes no sense!
Anybody else think Cryptic should be evaluated for dissociative identity disorder?

You know, I would be okay with having some swim suit options be limited to Risa, if they also added alternate version that unlock with the Risa only version that would be more appropriate for normal wear.
take for instance the bikini bottom. If they don't want us running around ESD in these, then give us a version with a beach themed skirt, short or otherwise to go over them and make that part of the bikini bottom at purchase. Honestly, I don't see the issue with allowing us to wear them all the time, seeing as Orion females and metal bikinis.
I honestly would like a bikini like top, maybe fancier with more flowing cloth around it and wear heavy armored pants, books, shoulder guards for a more spicy battle suit.
At the very least, give us some not swimsuit wear to earn that is attractive, like cocktail dresses, and other fancy clothing.

This, I couldn't say it better myself.
I'm a starfleet captain, and I can fly around in all kinds of ships which make no sense what-so-ever at all. Call it good buisiness or imerssion breaking, it's a totally nonsensical idea that hundreds of StarFleet Officers can all drive Undine/Breen/Dominion/what-have-you ships, but somehow wearing Swimwear is off-limits?
I mean seriously, it makes SENSE for an Orion to be wearing swimwear, but not for an Orion to be flying a Dominion Dreadnaught. I really want to see the Starfleet Regulation that says I can wear all kinds of non-uniform items on my ship, and make "uniforms" that are totally different from any other uniform, but I can't wear swimwear?
I can wear ripped up Khan uniforms, with all kinds of breasticals hanging out, I can wear Orion bikini's that cover nothing, but swimwear is a no-no.
Because for many, it's actually a good thing that we have to strategically choose what we use in combat, rather than have everyone who's grinded them all be OP, and those who haven't the time to do so be at a big disadvantage
It levels the playing ground, to a degree.
Sorry??? You just saying that anyone who has more time / or is willing to put in more time must be punished because he/she is getting to powerful? Like telling a good form 1 driver that he can't get pole position anymore because others want to win too?? And what has that to do with PVE? Get real!
Maybe next time a nerf for the powers of those who put real money in to this game - just to level the playing ground for another degree?
For me it just means I'm going to re-evaluate the usefulness of rep grinding.

I think it was CBS that decided that for you.
If I'm remembering right, I faintly remember it being mentioned....somewhere. I can't remember now. >.<

Huh?
Quick, somebody call NSA. This guy has just issued a threat to PWE headquarters because he can't wear bikini online.

Because the fashion senses of long dead warlords and enemies of federation catch on in 2410?
