The Mirror Somraw Raptor Retrofit favors Science Bridge Officer Seating and console slotting more than the Prime Universe version does.

Hull Strength: 31,500
Shield Modifier: 1.05
Crew: 100
Weapons: 4 Fore, 3 Aft
Device Slots: 2
Bridge Officer Stations: 1 Ensign Tactical, 1 Commander Tactical, 1 Lieutenant Engineering, 1 Lieutenant Science, 1 Lieutenant Commander Science
Console Modifications: 4 Tactical, 2 Engineering, 3 Science
Base Turn Rate: 15 degrees per second
Impulse Modifier: 0.2
Cloaking Device
+15 Power to Weapons
A.K.S. Registry Name Prefix Option

Visual bridge officer layout:

XXXX
X
XX
TRIBBLE
XX

Console layout:

XXXX
XX
TRIBBLE

Basically the same way I have my Rom sci Fleet Dhelan setup, except with one less tac console. Better layout than the Chel Gret I've been using in this position--I'll probably move my gear over and turn the Chel into a beamboat instead.

I guess the only thing I dont really like about it is that its a mirror ship, so its not going to be mainlined into the faction and there likely won't be a fleet version. Mirror ships dont require art development I guess, but TBH I wish they would go away.

Definitely fills a hole in the lineup. The only remaining hole is a light science vessel with LtCmdr engi for EPtA3.

This ship would fill a gap in the KDF Raptor line, but as you said, it's dead-end development. There will be no Fleet version of the Mirror Somraw. Give it a 4/4 tac/sci console layout or 5/3 tac/sci layout, usual Fleet Boosts, then we're onto something here.

Just like the KDF Mirror Negh'var & Fed Mirror Hvy Cruiser, which I think are better in theme and capability than their Fleet counterparts. But I know that they're dead-ends and if you like that style, you will never see Fleet versions of those.

At least with those you have the Fleet Kamarag and Fleet Ambassador. Actually thats another issue--those mirror ships detract from the regular ships which could have been made available in-game for dilithium or something.

I guess its all about the lockbox key sales at minimal cost of asset development at this point.

    1.05 Shield Mod

Typo, maybe? Doesn't seem to have a lowered hull to match newer shield mod if it were deliberate... unless Raptors are getting buffed along with Raiders.

1.05 looks to have been a typo, it now reads: "Shield Modifier: 0.83"

I don't think anyone was expecting that to stick. The turning rate looks wrong too, it should be 16.

Huh, the actual box reads 1.05 too.

Anyone know if I get it whether it unlocks the skin on my fleet version?

It usually does, at least on fed side. Given Cryptic's attention to KDF assets, I wouldn't be surprised that unboxing a mirror somraaw would make your other ship slots unusable and locked due to invalid costume options :D
