Are the lockbox and Lobi ships supposed to have identical stats and boff layouts (minus the console) or did you just mess up the copy/paste?

You went there... you actually did... And I hate you for it.

At this rate when can we expect a playable Borg Tactical Cube?

Iconians? Pfffft... I wonder why the Lobi Consortium isn't ruling the galaxy by now... Borg can't assimilate the Undine, yet Ferengis have managed to capture their ships without much of an issue.

I call BS. Won't even bother commenting the stats. We all know by now each and every new ship has to be more powerful than the last one. Typical. Power creep all the way.

Playable planet destroyers... Christ... And people thought putting Thalaron Pulse on Republic Scimitars was stupid enough. But I guess no amount of idiocy will stop Cryptic from getting their money.

Copy / Paste fail on ship stats and looks like the pictures are swapped??

Where's the rest of the info on lockbox contents like new weapon type, doffs, traits?

Is there another Blog coming? The one it links to only details ships, no mention of Doffs, Weapons or other goodies.

I think both Undine ships have the same stats (avaibility and console aside).

Okay, it's funny - I put up a post on to what kind of ship I should get for my Sci Gorn and it turns out the new Somraw Mirror leans on Sci stuff. Sweet!

Sigh, why did we need to do this? That first paragraph alone is just a list of the reasons no civilized being should have any interest in flying these nightmarish abomination ships. I shudder to think what's next in the lockbox rotation.

    Anyway...

    Universal Console?
    Weapons packs?
    Lobi stuff?
    Other random goodies?

And were the ships supposed to have identical stats or...?

Positive side though: They look good. I'm going to enjoy destroying these crimes against nature in the new missions. And kudos on the new mirror ships. It's always nice to see you giving players more options and diversity in there. Thanks for that.

I was hoping you guys would have the sense not to make Undine ships flyable because that makes even less sense than any of the other lockbox ships but it's not like I can say I'm surprised.

The only thing which doesn't urge me to claw my eyes out this second is the Mirror Nova.

Seriously? Undine ships? Why not throw in a playable tactical cube while you're at it.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Also wow. Wow. Those stats. So unbalanced. Much overpowered. Wow.

These things are Cdr. Tac, Lt. Cdr Uni and Lt. Cdr Sci, 4/4, can equip dual cannons, have five tac slots, a hull of 34k and a turn rate of fourteen? Not to mention the +10 to weapon power.

These things will make the Scimitar look like a runabout. Why don't you just replace the Undine ships with a device that you activate that instantly destroys all enemies and completes all mission objectives. Something like [Console - Universal - Insta-Win Button].

For all the talk of curbing power creep, you've not thought this one through very well.

*Sigh* I figured it would go this way. You know, the other lockbox ships made sense, because even the most alien ones (Tholian, Elachi etc.) were mechanical ships that could be operated by humanoids. Like Killdozer9211 stated, the first paragraph of the blog is the exact reason why we shouldn't be allowed to have these ships, let alone fly one. The Logical route would've been to include faction-based ships that are modified with various pieces of Undine tech, kinda like the Dyson ships.

Then again, this is Cryptic. I shouldn't be surprised.

"Undine Bioships are a complicated combination of organic tissues, engineered and grown for the specific purpose of serving as warships for the Undine fleet. Although originally designed to be manned and flown by as little as a single Undine pilot, the internal systems of every bioship available for use by Alpha Quadrant species have undergone extensive modifications. While these modifications have made larger crew compliments a necessity, they have also done away with the need for the ship’s pilot to have powerful psionic capabilities, or for the interior of the vessel to be flooded with bioplasma, thus allowing even Humans, Klingons and Romulans to fly these complex organic starships"

The stench of desperation is strong in this one Cryptic. So very strong.
You guys have become truly pathetic.

The stats for the Nicor are correct in this blog. We'll be correcting the Dromias' stats in an update shortly.

    Sorry for the confusion!

I'm seriously starting to think this is a major misprint. When I caught it earlier, for some reason, they had the pictures for the Mogai and Somraw flipped around, so I think someone did some rearranging and forgot to fix things.

For a ST game, you can either be all-canon-all-the-time, or the gameplay can not match up to the story (which isn't that uncommon in games), allowing us to fly these ships

So it's fairly intentional, and much more fun imo :D The identical stats are a funny typo

Oh and shpoks, at least try to enjoy them before you condemn them...

That is all for me here

While the Undine ships are... ill-advised at best, I like the mirror ships. New Nova seems a bit closer to a mini-Sovereign like it should be, the KDF gain a much needed Sci vessel, and The Mogai will definitely do as a replacement for my Roms T3 Mogai.

At least a tactical cube or borg sphere could happen. We've seen a borg sphere taken over by liberated borg after the unimatrix zero incident.

Undine bioships though.. <walks away to find a wall to bang head against..>

yeah, rather than just making a decent Odyssey, Starfleet is spending all its time retrofitting ships they dont actually need and arent designed for humans in the first place

Given the blog is incomplete and there is mistakes, if something as simple as this can't be proof read, I genuinely do wonder about the QC process for these kind of things.

Already a couple of folks I know in game chatting about quitting for this in addition to the rep nerf.
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.
