Dyson Science Destroyer yay or nay?

After watching some reviews on the Dyson destroyer my opinions on the ship have somewhat improved the ship seems to be quite potent and a solid choice for Science captains.
My initial opinion is that the Ship was just a new gimmick and the consoles were nothing but bells and whistles to sell the ship faster similar to the Kumari or the Scimitar's 3 pack consoles.
The only character on which I have acquired the Dyson secondary deflector is my Romulan Tactical, in your opinion is the ship suitable for Tactical use?
Needless to say I'm undecided on whether to go on and buy the 3 pack or perhaps just buy the Tactical version for 2500 or even just not bother getting the ship at all.

So for that reason I'm turning to the forums (unfortunately) and I'm asking players that have purchased the ship and their experiences of it, is it worth it to acquire the 3 consoles or am I better of just using the slots for fleet consoles
Should I even be considering getting the ship at all? :confused:

    I'd say go with the Vesta 3 pack. Much better ship IMO.

    Neither yay nor nay, more "meh". There are better ships around (vesta) and (what's a huge argument for me) i don't like the look.

    I already have the Vesta
    needless to say I'm a little bored with it, I'm clueless as to what kind of build to use with it.

    I have it and it's a lot of fun. Although it's not the best ship for Borg STF'S but it's powerful against Undine... I'd wait a bit and see what's coming this month... ;)

    I must be one of the few players actually exited about season 9

    I agree to wait and see.

    Alternately, you could try another Sci vessel - I'm a fan of the Fleet Recon :)
