So, i never did this mission in my fleet mine. And i decided to try it.
So, you need to go down to the lower level of the mine to do it.. is there any teleporter or something else to go directly to it????? it makes no sense that you need to waste 3-4 minutes to reach the mining spot. Its stupid, my guess is that it must be some teleporter or something somewhere.
Anyways, that was the fist time and last time i do that mission lol. 480 dilithium for a total of about 5 minutes?? really??
I mine almost daily, and complete the Fleet Mine (all three) in approximately 15 minutes total.
I find it very helpful to simply just jump all the way down, ignoring the beacons. Will take a few points of damage sometimes, but get down their instantly. Going back up, I target the next beacon and click fire thrusters while I am still moving, so it is a smooth climb out. I find it's about 2 minutes or so for the Rich mining. Annoying, but better dil/time than the regular and "fractured dilithium" missions, which are are about 12 minutes to do all the two if you do them in the order they are on the map.
2480 dilithium for 15 minutes isn't too bad, more efficient than the public mine, because everything's closer together on the Fleet one, with better beacon placement.
YMMV, perhaps mining exceeds your patience with mindless grind (because it is that). If so, plenty of other ways to get dilithium in the game.

there is no teleporter... gotta actually space walk the entire way.

I tried just throwing myself to the rift a couple of times, and i got stucked between 2 rocks... :P
Anyways, why is it called "rich"?? there are millions of ways to gather more than 480 dilithium even in less time. At first i thought it was like the mine dilithium one, you have a minning claim, and you can gather 5000 dilithium. But well, again another stupid fail from cryptic lol.
And by the way, there is no way to do the 2 minning missions + rich one in 15 minutes. You should check again the time you invest, since that is not possible. Only doing 1 mission takes you about more than 6 minutes (5 minutes to mine, plus the time you waste walking to the spots). Well, maybe not 15 but 20 minutes is what it takes. No way to do it on less time.
But i just asking cuz i was curious, as i said, there are funnier ways to waste 20 minutes gathering dilithium lol. Thats the problem with the minning thing. I only do em on dilithium events, or since i have rich dilithium claims, if am sort of dil i go to the dilithium mine and do a rich one. But i NEVER use the regular minning missions, i dont think only a few people do em, once they now other ways to gather dilithium.
