GW3/ES2 Build...would like some opinions...

Fellow Captains,

I'm currently trying to work out the final plans for my Vesta loadout. I captain the SCI heavy Vesta model; however, I'm not sure if that's my best choice for my build.

http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=1141011552scivestasupport_0

The above is my current spec and loadout with obvious gaps in the loadout. I'm not sure what weapon type I want to use but I have an idea of how I want the build to work. Basically, I want it to be a drain-heavy build with the option of bunching several ships for group damage.

I have the BOFFs slotted in a manner which gives me the ability, I think, to engage either a point or group target; however, I'm not sure how to finish out. A part of me wants to drop Plasmonic Leech and Isometric Charge into 2 SCI slots and finish them out with Fleet Grav Gens with [Pla] but another part wants to do Fleet Flow Caps with [Pla]. I'm not sure which would be best and would appreciate some help there.

Another hang up is I have no idea how I want to finish my weapons and tactical slots. My power levels are generally maxed out because of the ES2 and PL console so it's hard for me to decide between energy weapons and torpedoes/mines. What are your thoughts there?

This build will be PvE as I don't engage in PvP. I want this to be viable for either point or group targets, which I understand is a bit absurd for a single ship, but I believe it's achievable in the SCI realm.

Any thoughts would be appreciated so long as they're constructive. Assume all ships/respec/gear is available. Please, though, keep it focused on GW3/ES2 for the primary skills.

One thing, get rid of energy siphon 1 if you plan to use 3 deflector officer doffs to get the drain abilities and GW to global cooldown. Put Tachyon Beam 2 or Tyken's Rift 1 there in that case.

Yes, that's the current plan, 3 deflector doffs. I'll probably do a TB2 in its place. I'm just torn on the rest of the loadout now...and waiting for someone to start the DPS junk, as you noted.

If you want to go the drain route, in PvE, 4 flow caps consoles go a very long way, heck, you might even get away with using 3.

Watch out for one thing though. Aux levels affect how long or how effective your drain abilities are. Having said that, since this is PvE, just strap on the 3 Aux cannons on front and your garden variety 360 reputation weapons on the back and enjoy the pew pew.

Definitely don't need the 2 ES skills, replace one with something different of your choice, as lucho said those will suffice well.

Now I personally would ditch one of the torpedo skills as well, having TS and THY get to be to bothersome if running one torpedo at for and/or aft, one skill is all you need unless you are a full on torpedo boat.

If you are preferring a drain, drag and hold style build I highly recommend the adapted maco deflector over a fleet one, as this particular deflector offers up well pretty much everything you could possibly want.
