the new outfits on summer event

is it true that there is 11 outfits comeing in the summer event i heard that there are some nice one string bikinie i heard is one :P

    Supposedly. No Picard Speedo though. :(

    (And they might only be useable on Risa....)

    Yeah, but looking like they will be restricted to risa. So, probably not worth it.

    I will not be surprised if some of those bikinis cost more than people would think, and people will complain that they cant use em out of Risa. Because they didnt know it. lol. I dont think too many people will buy em.

    Restricted to Risa. Another expensive grind for an item that is only used in one place. Typical Cryptic. :P

    Particularly dickish because the Winter event items, and other summer wear items can be worn anywhere already. :rolleyes:

    I'd support this in my sig, but I already have an eternal issue...

    I would love a Picard Speedo and a trademarked Sir Patrick Stewart chest hair accessory. It would make my Vulcan look epic. :cool:

    I really hope they reconsider this before summer.
    I don't care if its speedo's or string bikini's, they should be wearable outside of Risa for those that want it.
    Grinding for a cosmetic that can be used on one single map in the entire game is just completely absurd.

    At least the restriction on floaters made sense, as there are technical map design reasons for them not being functional outside of Risa.
    On top of which the best versions were worthwhile as they allowed you to complete the event activities faster and farm favors on multiple characters efficiently.
    Which in turn could be sold for EC or traded in for more outfits to be sold for EC's.

    You forgot that that one map is only really available/used for 2-3 weeks a year too.

    And if "A Step Between the Stars" was any indication, we will most likely be getting more maps where jetpacks could be used 100% of the year.

    But where else am I going to carry the captain's log? What better way is there to display my Forward Torpedo Tube? I was really hoping for this, and a black Locutus of Beach version to showcase my borg probe. Maybe then Cryptic would finally make the Infected Complexion full body!

    Cryptic needs to get on this issue... mostly just to make the Infected complexion full body though.

    No link available.
    The new outfits were made available on tribble briefly by mistake.
    And they had a disclaimer attached to the description that they could only be worn on Risa.

    Oh, it's there. It's further down, but there is mention of it being only useable on Risa.

    The mention of it seems to come from someone sort of hoping that it's the case. If I'm reading the relevant quote correctly, I don't read that as a confirmation, more like somebody awaiting it to happen.

    I had to skim 110 comments. But I don't see that as proof.

    And it's interesting that TacoFangs said this, when stating his plans for a new Club 47:
    The club is for offduty folks, civvies, etc. I don't think everyone would be running around in crazy Risian thongs. I think they'd be in their off duty outfits.

    I remember someone on reddit mentioning that they're in their own category that can't be used outside of risa. I sincerely hope I am wrong though.
