CrtH from Rom BOffs isn't stacking on Tribble.

Please don't be a bug.

    Display bug or is it showing up in parses as a reduced amount of Crit compared to Holodeck?

    Kind of like Rombush shows +40% but it's still just the +25%.

    Wonder if they were tinkering around with taking away some CrtH and giving damage instead...hrmmm...you know how those other forks of STO go, lol.

    I hope you're right, but people are going to rage if it is. I can see all the "I spent money..."posts. Just look at the people raging over the rep passive changes (which is actually a DPS buff but whatever).

    I just wish they would go DDIS's rout and just give every species a space trait.

    rep passive changes are a nerf no matter how you're looking at it

    I found and reported the bug on the first day after they changed out the trait UI to allow you to swap your species traits.

    And yes it has just turned into a "I spent all this money and now you want to TRIBBLE me over!? I quit" thread sadly

    they're not stacking ye....
    but they're also not working at all^^

    so it's a bug....and not a ninja nerf
    expect it to get fixed withing the next 6 months :D

    Of course it has. Anything that tries (or even comes close to trying) to address imbalance or power creep gets a lot of whine. So the Devs are of course reluctant to fix any of it, since they know it'd cause outrage from certain groups. Of course it'd have been better if such things weren't added to the game in the first place, atleast not in a way that it'd cause problems.

    In this case, however, given that the breakdown occurs in an area that is currently massively in flux, I'm inclined to think it's just plain broken. Of course, it'll probably end up going live that way anyway, at which point it will be Working As Intended.

    Refunds on what they nerf though. lol

    This is like saying Major Car companies should offer to let you return vehicles if they ever release anything better. I mean that is basicly a nerf right. How about Apple giving you a refund if they release a new phone.

    Nerfs are a part of gaming... "nerf" isn't a bad word. Anyone that likes video games should welcome them... a PROPER developer. Nerfs things all the time to ensure balance is where they want it. If they do there job right it shouldn't be required that often. When it is though its obvious to the players. (STO is no aception we all know what is too good... even the MMO fresh among us).

    The only real issue is Cryptic has never been a proper developer. So ya its like letting a kid do what ever it wants for the first 4 years of its life... good luck with rules now daddy.

    They did the refund thing with andorian phasers and people still raged. but yeah, I'm sure this is a bug too. tribble currently has lots of new bugs since last patch.

    No, what we're talking about is more akin to a product recall, which is precisely what happens. Releasing something better is just the new shiny.

    That's a good point... and now that you mention it next time Ford sends me a recall letter for something I'm telling them to stick it I want my money back. ;)

    Hrmmm, so what kind of refund should one expect on something that was free? I'm still trying to figure that part out...just saying.

    they acknowledged the thread, and the problem, and the solution, like what a year ago? and then nothing, but more rep and lockboxs and brainless pve. i wonder if its on a to do list or sticky note somewhere still

    Well, given that they cost a fat chunkload of minerals and FC, it would not be unreasonable to expect some manner of turn-in system for them to get that back. And I was more referring to the general case than any specific instance: If this was established as a general practice, there would be considerably less rioting every time they decide to nerf something to death.

    It was more the general thing - and - with the number of complaints coming from folks with Rom toons; well - they're free...it was just wondering what they were talking about in that thread. Oh sure, folks pay oodles of EC for them on the Exchange - that's their own fault - kind of like folks buying AtB DOFFs....

    Just a thought, but some of us that don't exclusively play a romulan get pretty bent over by this bug in terms of the cost of the embassy boff costs and decrease in performance.

    While I am for nominalizing the factions I don't think that this is the right approach persay...

    The problem is Cryptic lets things go for so long. They should be nerfing things faster, when it's seen to be a problem or even better catching it beforehand.

    When playing a mmo you need to get use to the fact things change, somethings get buffed, others nerfed. Nothing stays the same forever. Cryptic shouldn't offer anything to those that are hurt by the nerf. Everything you buy today can be worthless by the next patch, it's the nature of the genre, get use to it.

    - You realize it would be good to balance things out a bit.

    - You're going to fix it back to the current holodeck state

    - You are going to let this continue until other OP boff traits are released.

    Judging from the replies, we can expect more boff traits to attempt to balance out SRO, which is the solution I have been expecting for some time.

    I just wish that they had come with S8, instead of us going thru all of LoR release + S8 + who knows how much longer...

    So glad I didn't go Romulan...

    I learned my lesson from my time as a KDF main. It was new. It was shiny. It was a little OP. Now, KDF what?

    I want to be a Fed sci, I'll be a Fed sci. Nerf me, buff me, have at it. I'm not going to re-roll whenever Cryptic wants to sell it's latest and greatest.
